I opted for a black sleeveless linen top combined with optic white jeans and white loafers. It feels really appropriate. Now if I can just get a little work done too ....

I'll be safe, Texstyle! We have it all planned down to the last detail. The problem is it might be too hot/humid for me to stand on the top floor of a parking deck. I might prefer to be sitting on my deck, sipping white wine.

So this is what I discovered by personally interviewing people in the office. The WOMEN and one male thought about it and picked their ensembles based on the eclipse. Surprisingly, every single one of us thought along the same exact line and wore a combination of black/white. Here I was thinking I was so avant grade when every single one of us was thinking the same thing.

Shout out to Angie. Thank you for introducing me to white jeans. They have saved the day multiple times this summer alone. YAY white jeans.

I'm wearing black silk joggers, yellow tee, gold sun pendant on gold chain, black bomber jacket ( although it is too warm now) and leopard print flats for animal print challenge. I like your idea of black and white. It has just started here. No birds out as usual for earlier morning dog walk. Crickets are chirping.
ETA: changed jacket to go to a birthday lunch for DH. Finds show outfit.

Ink cropped sweatshirt, white jeans, silver belt, clogs, and clutch and sun and moon earrings. But it was so overcast even after driving inland that we gave up. I swear, this was the most overcast morning that we have had all summer. ☹️

I wore patterned pants with blush pullover and white accents. I was by the water getting my hair done. Ran outside with said special glasses to see the eclipse with apron on and foils in my hair. It did not get cold or very dark despite 92% Totality. It looked like sunset. Subtle. NO TRAFFIC at all.

I have heard that difference between 99% totality and 100% is (literally) night and day. We drove into the path of totality and it was INCREDIBLE. Probably the coolest thing I've seen in my life. People lined up along the side of the road and applauded the moon. It was right around noon and we could see the stars. Amazing.

I agree with Jenn..totality was a very beautiful and for me emotional experience. My friend & I cried, others were whooping and hollering. DH was busy absorbing as much science stuff as he could. We've been planning our visit since last summer, and it was worth every penny we spent.

I wore my La Lunitique tee with a sun pendent necklace. The temperature dropped noticeably as totality approached.

I am wearing floral pattern pants, red ruffled top, black sandals, and cobalt satchel. I went the opposite way and chose bright colors!

I don't know what the % was here but our employees gathered in our parking lot and took turns looking at the little crescent of sun through the glasses we shared. It was darker than usual but nothing dramatic. The best part was we had the Frosty Treats truck come and serve ice cream. My joke was to say we were treating them to eclipsicles

I live in a city that doesn't get much sun in the best of times.....It looked like a normal Monday in Pittsburgh

Sterling, yes. If you didn't see 100%, you didn't see it. The sun is so bright, we couldn't tell anything was happening unless we put our glasses on and looked right at the sun. What we saw then was amazing, even to the cynical teenager. And then when the sun was completely covered, of course, no glasses were needed to experience that part. It was very cool!

We only got 80% here but it was still pretty cool to look at with the glasses. Without them, it just looked like a cloudy day and normal bright sun. Kind of fun to see people united about something for a change

We got to see quite a bit of the eclipse here in Seattle. I was working from home and hadn't even put on real clothes yet!
