Snakeskin Dress

I post my purchases for the week on my blog on Fridays and sometimes get inspired to style some. well I was inspired to style it, I was not inspired to style my hair and makeup... I was dealing with a migraine yesterday, so hence the headless photo shot

I found this snakeskin dress while thrifting for just $3.50 and the jacket is an Ebay purchase while I was hunting for more cropped jackets for my petite height.

I like the zippers and the hood on the jacket, which was only $15 with free shipping.

I have a python dress, too! This looks great and was a lucky "strike." The moto is a perfect topper proportionally and in it's "vibe." I'm wanting to add color, to mine, but everytime I try it looks cheesy. Post again if you ever find a great "colorful snake" look. Of course, that would make us poisonous snakes, but maybe that could be useful ;}

I think I would add an orange purse to this look for a punch of color or maybe even green... didn't think about that originally with my pounding headache....
We have a tropical storm on the way and possible hurricanes later, which makes for pressure headaches....

I hear you Tracey, I'm a migraine sufferer, too, although I get the weird visual disturbances and numbness, but little pain. Hope that storm passes by quickly!

Great dress, and I can see it with a belt to further define your waist too.
The jacket will be a very versatile item that you can wear with casual and not so casual outfits.

Where do all y'all live?! Thrift stores around here are tootin' expensive. And all they have is black pants and more black pants. What is up with that, I ask?

Love the snakeskin dress and the jacket, too. It looks great as is, but I would probably belt the dress to accent the waist, as Lyn D. suggested. Also, because it's my favorite color, I'd add a citron belt or scarf for a pop of color.

I love a $20 stylin' outfit!! I also really am liking snakeskin, to my surprise, since I really don't like the snake that winds around the property here!

Nice dress! I like the idea of belting it. I like the jacket too, I think it's the perfect length to wear with dresses and skirts. I'm also always on the lookout for jackets that are cropped enough on my petite and short waisted self.
