Slightly OT--Amazon pricing

Does anyone notice the huge price swings on Amazon? Not too long ago, Laura posted about a Spring boot by Miz Mooz that was sale priced around $60. Shortly thereafter, they were marked back up around $90, then recently down to $46 and now back up to $90. I'm curious what drives their pricing. I don't need anymore boots, but I do like to look.

I think some of it is sales elsewhere. They'll change the price by a few cents so they're not higher than a major competitor. They have sales of their own, too, just like brick and mortar stores.

ETA: I returned the Frye Billy Shorts--too small and narrow. The MM are my new spring boot : )

so, is the heel literally 3 1/4 inches? how comfy are they? how is the sizing? How difficult is it to return to amazon?
I'm starting to have heart palpitations here...

and I'm looking at the ice as well. gorgeous color.

click... the deed has been done. I hope I'm not sorry. I've been thinking about these boots ever since laura first posted those others, and I haven't been able to find anything in the stores that I like. I just hope the heel isn't too high for me.

The heel on the outside measures 3.5" on the size 7. All of my MM are 7's and this one is no exception. I wore them around the house and they seemed pretty comfy considering they are heels--not all day shoes for me but no heels really are.

According to Amazon, you can return within 30 days and can get prepaid postage through Amazon (unlike 6 pm.) The price of postage is deducted from the return amount but this is my first shoe order through Amazon so I don't have any real experience in the returns department. I feel like for the price, it is an outstanding deal. They are gorgeous!

I am clapping because of this post! I, too, was eyeing those MM Sandi Spring boots, and ugh, that price kept fluctuating! Now my size is sold out in the ice. =( Too much lurking......
