Show me your poncho/wrap for day

I'm really running cold ... and thinking it would be really nice to have a poncho or wrap that I could throw on with skinnies. It's too difficult to search the forum because I am pulling up all sorts of posts from ages ago. Can you show me what you're wearing this season? Thank you!

Oooo...looking with interest. I don't have a poncho but I love them! I used to live in Phoenix Az. seems like a perfect poncho place (PPP) . Where I live now, the weather went from warm to cold and rainy. The one cool dry day that I could have worn a poncho, I was doing yard work! Poncho and yard work ....ack! Frankly, what CAN you do in a poncho.....besides ride a horse....and rob a bank?

#1 Fine gauge cotton and rayon knit. A rectangle with an oval opening. More fall-ish than warm. I like wearing it over another sweater in the house. Didn't Una post it ages ago?

#2 Wool and acrylic woven. Ruana style. I'm wearing this a lot, offen over a leather moto. Great travel piece; it actually scrunches up enough to be worn as a scarf or shawl.

#3 Not a proper poncho but a 60" x 60" wool blanket scarf. Maybe no longer on trend, but it's a workhorse for me.

I am really liking this. Not really a poncho, but acts like one. Can be worn symmetrically, like a cardigan, or twisted and wrapped/ flung over a shoulder. I wore it both ways in a recent post. I got black, but if you wear grey, the plaid ones are lovely.

Mine is not really a poncho but similar in many ways. My office switches from hot to cold to hot in a flash (not me flashing) so I need something that is easy on and off without static hair.

This is SO helpful -- I am really drawn to the "not really poncho" wrap-type things.

Hi Viva -- I have several poncho/wraps that I am wearing this season (including two older solid ruanas for which I do not have pics.) I am currently using them as lightweight outerwear as we are still having mild temps here in Connecticut. I prefer them to jackets right now as they are easy on/off and can be thrown in a tote when it warms up later in the day. But I can see that these pieces will in winter be very practical as a way to keep warm in my drafty home office. They are a nice alternative to cardigans. (The two that I have as "Custom Finds" are actually recently purchased from JCPenney -- but I could not get the YLF Collect feature to work on their website.)

I am super tempted by this one from Boden: http://www.bodenusa.com/en-US/.....oncho.html. I do have an interesting charcoal poncho I got at a Loft Outlet. I can't find it online. It's cable knit and not especially billowy, which I like. I can swing up over my arms to look like a scarf so I can wear a coat over it.

I have two. One I bought last year (it looks like a poncho but has short sleeves) and wore a lot and a new one that I bought after seeing Janet model hers. I wore it when I was having lunch on a patio restaurant with a large group of people, and it was perfect for a cooler day. Got lots of compliments, too.

This is mine. I finally broke down this year and bought a knitted cashmere wrap (which looks a lot like a poncho when wrapped this way) for my office. My office always seems to be cold--cold from air conditioning in the summer and cold from cold in the winter. This keeps me cozy and it is so soft, it is a joy to wear. Cross between a shawl and a blankie, about 2 X 5 feet, woven out of camel hair in Pakistan, labeled RTM traditional attire, purchased in Saudi Arabia in March. I tried really hard to find a place where you could buy one online but failed. Mine is teal, DD received a burgundy one.

I also like Chan Luu scarf blankies.

For mine, I was inspired from Angie's ensemble in nr. 1.
It was quite a big discovery there are shorter, not so bulky ponchos especially for indoors (or milder weather, and so I wear them for work and play instead of a topper (an alternative for jackets, balzers and cardis).

Love this asymmetric, fine and thinner, plain color gauge as it can be worn in so many different ways, (for deskwork, love it folded up on one shoulder, see this in nr 5-- but nr 4. prooved to be the best way to layer it under a coat).

This poncho is my joker item this fall:-)), and have worn it at least 1x/week this season.
