Susie, you have items really original floral patterns : the Field Flower tunic and the lace hem jumper, in particular, are very beautiful and distinctive! Thank you very much for sharing!

Christina F, what a beautiful collection! I especially love the embroidered floral sweater!

Thank you Zaeobi! The skirt was not available in my local Zara shop, but I have not given up!

Zibbets, you have such a beautiful family! You all look very elegant, very classy ith your florals.

I adore florals as well and have had to become much more careful about fit and flattery as my wardrobe is at capacity. My most worn summer jacket is my floral bomber. I have several floral shoes and earrings I like to add interest with also.
I love your pansy dress Aurore. My yellow/orange pansy earrings are beloved as is a pansy coffee mug I have and some pansy homewares from the Portmerion Botanical Gardens collection.
I have more florals than this, not photographed. Probably wear something floral about half the time!

Jenni NZ, you have an amazing collection of florals! Especially the print of the bomber and the one of the tunic you are wearing on photo #2 - they are both very poetic. And I love the idea of floral earrings!

Jenni NZ that floral bomber is fantastic!

Here are a few of mine. Not necessarily the “ botanical” nor photo- florals. Darker ones work for me, but somehow Ted Baker does not.
One thing I’m doing is trying to use fewer items but across seasons. The scarf is silk and while I’d usually “ save” silk for warmer weather, it worked great with winter jackets. ( Though I was not in polar vortex weather, or for hiking in snow!). Plus very comfortable against my neck. So I am working on whittling my scarf capsule to fewer ones that go with lots of outfits.
Same for skirt— it’s summer weight, but I can wear with dark fleece tights and cashmere sweaters vs nude hose and linen or cotton tops. It’s better to have a few good- fitting skirts and replace of fit or length needs change.
The handbag is also dark floral but will go as contrast with summery items in olive, khaki.

I love florals and throughout my life have had a difficult time determining which ones look good on me. So I've been all over the botanical map... in the 70's and 80's I wore mostly 'ditsy' prints that consisted of bright saturated colors with small all-over white flowers.

At the moment I am exploring much larger florals, mostly on dark backgrounds.

unfrumped, thank you for your thoughts about the reuse of items across seasons! It is both wise and pragmatic, and definitely inspiring. Having a small closet space, I realise I should aim at the same goal.

Thank you Sheila for your insight on the evolution of floral prints! Nowadays dark floral indeed seem to win everyone's heart. Also, good job on finding this mango dress as a substitude to the Dolce & Gabbana one! They do have the same feeling.
Thank you for the post bumping as well!

Suzanimal, what a beautiful and classy bag!

Thank you, Aurore! I don't typically go for florials but that bag spoke to me. It's easier for me to be experimental with patterns on accessories. Right now, I'm on the hunt for a nice florial carpetbag to carry in the cooler months. I'd like a magical one like Mary Poppins but I'm afraid that might be out of my price range, lol.
