It looks lovely on you. Perhaps you could try to wear it once or twice in the next short while and see how you feel in it on those days. If it doesn't bring the happiness that the other jackets do then it is time to let it go.

Here's a purge test I learned from someone on YLF: if you went shopping today and saw the grey jacket, would you buy it?

Sveta this colour is definitely reading as a warm grey to me, almost taupe in fact. Perhaps seeing and styling it as "taupe" would help with the decision? When I like taupe, I like it with with warm pinks, coral, and tomato red. And with warmer "whites" like oatmeal. Maybe with cognac?
I also do agree that the buttons look a little closer together and more military than your white denim jacket.

I think it looks so pretty with that dress and shoes you are wearing.....I would be inclined to keep it.

Vildy, IK, Suz and others - you may be right but I will play anyway - because then I will be satisfied i did all I could and it is not my fault our relationship is over!:-)
lyn67, I cannot do this because I am playing "one in - one out" game.
Mo, this grey tone is actually what attracts me - if it was a bluer grey I would not have problem with letting it go...
Windchime, I think it would fail this test now...

I am wearing it today - stay tuned for the next chapter of pictures and analysis!

It's neither fish nor fowl.
It's not current nor trendy. Just kinda eh in my book.

Purge and don't look back. Not as fab as the others.

I think it is the color mostly, as it just does not glow like the others, but also the style is not as well, stylish.
Did you get it thinking you liked gray, or is it a neutral that is the only thing that works with certain colors? A seasonal use is the main thing I'd try to remember--as in, fall or winter outfits if you would not wear the white. Sometimes I toss things out of season. But otherwise I think even then, you would prefer just a different jacket.
The other purging concept I'm trying to remember is, I can only wear so many things. So if something isn't useful enough, or a specific outfit-maker for a special occasion, then I realize I don't have to wear it from time to time to justify keeping it. I can just do without it and the sky will not fall in but I'll have more space and not be pestered by something not really in rotation.

I really like how you line things up and juxtapose to see which to keep, what you're comparing it to. I need to do more of that.

I think it looks lovely on you. Have a play in your wardrobe for combinations of colour that are more pleasing to your eye. I'd definitely keep it even if you only wear it a few times a year.

I think you can let it go. The dress is fantastic, esp. with the white one.
