Should I buy these booties?

I've been thinking of adding light booties to my wardrobe. These are the right color and heel height, heavily discounted 70% off. Very expensive Italian leather shoes. A smidgen too tight, but I believe they will stretch.

What do you think of this style for me?
Please be honest! I like them, but PPP comes first:)

Do you mind the tiny gap at the top between the boot shaft and your calf?

I am not sure...can you get full length shot with them? Also how do you plan to wear them: I am not sure I like them with the skirt...

That's okay Sveta:) I'm not put off by the gap, Lyn, but I've thought of it, too. My idea is to wear them with both skirts/dresses and pants/jeans.

To me they look more like a bootie for pants. They are beautiful but quite western looking which also makes them casual. I like them a lot and think they could work with a skirt done casually. But it would take careful styling and would not be a slam dunk.

I thought of the western thing, too, and that's not quite me. Maybe I should look for something else? They ARE a bit small, and I'd prefer a lower shaft on them.

The gap is small enough that I think it looks fine. My only worry is the same as Suz's - the western look which feels more casual. It depends on how you are planning on wearing them whether that's a problem for you or not.

I have to agree with the others I think. They look a bit western and could do with being a tad more refined for wearing with skirts and dresses.

This could have been lighting, but I also think they were a little bit yellow for you. Hard to walk away from a discount like that on such a quality item, but if you'd decided they weren't right for you, *good job*! I sent back all of my NAS items because they were 8 out of ten or lower. I love how ylf helps us with PPP!

I see you're passing on them anyway, but I think the shaft fit is not as gappy as a lot of boot fits, and they give a more refined to my eye than lace-up Doc's that a lot of people wear, or some of the black boots with pale leg showing between boot and skirt. I have trouble myself with the shtumpifying effect of mid-leg boots, but OTOH I admire some of them on others, and even the slightly Western vibe when done with certain skirts and volume on top. It may not be your style, but I think it can be a very fun style and is mitigated by the lighter color of the boots. So that's for the eye of the beholder! In this case there may also have been fit issues so that the boots are not perfectly comfortable.

Unfrumped, it was a close one. I agree with you on the gap, and I also think the western vibe could be toned down/worked around. To my eye, they are most of all quite neutral. If they had been 1/2 size bigger, I think I would have taken them. The pictures are not doing them real justice re color and quality, as the leather is of first class quality, and the sole, too. I liked almost everything about them - and they were 70% off. But would I have bought them at full price? Probably not, because of the fit issue.

Oh I really like these and can see in the photo that the leather is lovely. I find the western vibe is there but understated which makes it adaptable.

I think they look fantastic, but have to vote pass because of the tightness. I feel the stretching out rarely comes to pass; you have to want to wear them first.
