A few weeks ago when Angie posted about crossover blouses I was very enthusiastic. So enthusiastic that I decided to make my very first order from Shopbop. I don't know what took me so long - they have great stuff and free or very cheap international shipping. I ordered the shirt Angie bought, knowing that if I didn't like it I would not be able to return it (the return fee from Israel is $65 - about the same as the shirt). But I felt reasonably confident I would like it or else would be able to sell it NWT at a consignment shop.

My order came very quickly and everything was wonderful until I looked closely at the shirt and saw there is a run in the material. I have no idea how it happened but it immediately made the shirt unsellable. The run was not extremely noticeable but fairly long and visible.

Anyway, those of you used to easy returns would not have hesitated to return it, but I knew that there was no point returning the shirt for the same cost I had paid for it. Not knowing what I might expect, I wrote to Shopbop's customer service. Well I was simply bowled over by their fast and courteous reply - I received an apology, a full refund, and they told me to keep the shirt (which had gone out of stock so they couldn't replace)! I was in (delighted) shock! So here is my free shirt and if anyone has any ideas what to do about runs please let me know!
