I like #1 and #3 the most I think and #2 is also fun. I don't care for the last two as they seem more dated in style to me.

My favorites are 1,2 and 3. I love the pattern ones.

Loafers are trendy, and you wear them with panache, Carter. I love the first 4 styles - especially the patterned options.

p.s. I LOVE loafer comfort too.

You are moving toward the future, Carter! Well done! I loved the striped Aerosoles best of all! The other Aerosoles and the snake print are great, too. This shape of shoe is attractive on your foot and will work well with the silhouettes in your wardrobe.

I'm less sure about the Naturalizers. I think they look good on your foot, though. It's not that they're frumpy -- more like they're "safe," if that makes sense.

Do you like lace up oxfords? I've been seeing more of these in the stores again.

I love #2 and #3. They look current and on trend, the sand ones look to be a weird color but that could just be my computer.

Denise, so happy to see Maggie (and Oliver!) doing well.

Sterling, I'm glad you enjoyed Atlanta. It's funny that you should mention your experience at the coffee counter. I've been feeling these past few years that Atlanta has lost some of its "niceness". I seem to run into rude people everywhere lately, so I'm thrilled to hear that manners and hospitality are still alive here!

I'm surprised and thrilled that the first 3 or 4 options are good ones. I know I'm way behind the times here, but the relatively high vamp of the Aerosoles still requires some eye adjustment for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughts on these!

Beth Ann, I know exactly what you mean by "safe" for the last two, and I completely agree. These are new colors for me that may or may not be part of my wardrobe going forward. I think "safe" is about the extent of my comfort level;-) Also, I can't wrap my head around voluntarily wearing oxfords...having worn them every school day in grades 1-6 with knee socks, the dreaded plaid jumper and the white blouse with Peter Pan color and poufy sleeves. I'll just have to leave that one to the rest of you!

The sand color is more harmonious with your skin than I originally thought and it's a crazy excellent match with the bag.

Don't worry about the teeny neat little scar that's barely visible and that I would never have noticed if you hadn't mentioned it!

Odd--unlike most of you, I like all of them except the first black ones. That pair is the only one that looks heavy to me. Love the rest though.

To my eye, loafers with a lower vamp aren't really loafers to me - they are in some odd no-man's land between ballet flats and loafers. So that's my own bias. I LOVE the first two pairs! The first is a classic black loafer and you look fab in them. The print on the second pair is too fab not to have. The rest I am rather meh about, mainly because I do not like the lower vamps.

I'm ready to replace grey snake loafers that I've worn out. I'd suggest keeping those for sure. I would also keep the sand color. You have a bag to go with them and sometimes one needs a light loafer. The black look great on you,not too heavy. Navy shoes are hard to find. The patterns are fun. They all get a thumbs up from me if they are comfortable and go with your wardrobe. I especially like this refined style of loafer as more feminine and easier to pair with skirts and dresses as well as pants.

The leopard printed pair showed up here yesterday and they were so comfy and easy that I ordered the 3rd pair for my daughter. We are both needing a pair of simple, comfy, easy to slip on shoes that will basically stand in as slippers without looking like we're in slippers all the time. These were perfect, and a steal for leather footwear. Thanks, Carter!

Traci, I'm so glad they worked for you!

So, which ones did you keep?

Oh Astrid, you had to ask... I'm keeping the first 3 for sure because they really are as comfortable as slippers. I'm more than likely keeping the snake pair because they make all my lighter colored pants work so much better than the other pair I'll be passing on. As plain and simple as the last two are, how they will add value to my wardrobe is still undetermined. They are new colors for me, so I'm just going to have to play with them a bit in order to decide if they get to stay.

I love the first four---and I'm so glad that you included photos of you wearing them, because I thought they looked a little frumpy before you modeled them! The leopard is particularly "roll tongue to make kitty sound". The second two pairs do look frumpy to my eye. What I really want to say though is HOW MARVELOUS that you bid those "death shoes" goodbye. I recycled something this week that carried those same, sad and terrible memories. I wasn't really aware of it myself, until I held the item in my hands and was filled with such angst. OUT THE DOOR. So, good for you! You deserve comfort and you deserve joy…..

Carter -- I bought these two loafers. They arrived yesterday. I love them. I'm keeping both pair. Thanks for finding them.

BTW, both went down in price. You should see if you can get a price adjustment if you are keeping them.

P.S. Carter, I'm sorry about your dad.

Thank you, Isabel.

Sterling, I'm so glad you love them! Pricing on these was really strange. I ordered different sizes of most of them I tried, and the prices were all over the board. In the size that fit me best, I ended up paying $23.50 for the black (which is the same price it is today) and $30.53 for the stripe (today it is $48.13). The leopard pair I kept was only $20.58 (same as today). Supply and demand on the individual sizes, plus potentially different sellers, I suppose. I get the economics of it, but still weird. I'm thrilled you were able to get lower prices too!
