We have 5 people in our home. I have the largest shoe collection. Then my baby girl. We have a shoe bench by the front door and a coat closet that stores off season shoes. it helps. I just use febreeze(?) or wood ceder when I store them for next year
With a more temperate climate my shoes don’t get dirty enough to muck up my nice shoe shelves in the bedroom closet. And no, they don’t smell! This is the summer set-up.
