And it's orange!
I've been looking for a waistless shirtdress for ages. They are all either too tight in the hips or too big in the shoulders. I found this orange one at Gap last week. It's 100% cotton (a lightweight crepe), fully lined (lining is also cotton), and fits in my true size (i.e. I didn't have to size up for the hips). The regular I tried in store (last pic) was a bit too short - it's hard to tell in the fitting room photo, but the sides were quite short, especially when I sit. Since I primarily want to wear this without anything underneath, I ordered a tall online. (By the way, I'm only 5'3.5"). I've had other tall dresses from Gap and have generally found that "tall" at Gap mostly just means "longer length" so the proportions are still ok for shortie me. The sleeves are a wee bit on the long side, but you all know I prefer that anyway, and when rolled it doesn't matter.
The color is truest in the fitting room pic, a true orange.

ETA: One small warning. The buttons on mine tend to come undone a lot because the buttonholes are too big. I was planning on sewing the placket shut anyway (because I think it hangs better that way) so it's not an issue for me.
