Oh boy. Warm weather wear is so far away for us that it's hard to think of, but I'd really like to break out my sleeveless mesh midi dress again.

Hard to say as I face a cold stormy rain, trapped indoors with energetic tweens weekend but I am thinking the midi skirt trend could be a cool option for some warm weather. Worn with nude heels (if I can find them) and a drapey top that you are inspiring me to look for. Good look with the heat!

Leggings and a linen shirt-dress or cotton knit tunic maybe? Sleeveless sundress and cami? Seeing as I've pretty much melted in cotton casual pants and a loose woven smock today... :-/ (97 degrees and stormy with cyclonic nor'westers here)

Sleeveless tank, walking shorts and sandals! (My high summer uniform) or a sleeveless silk dress (yeah right, that's gonna happen running a daycare! LOL but a girl can dream, and there ARE weekends...)

Very windy, in the 50s, with snow possible tonight. I am enjoying it. I have very few hot weather attire fantasies. The fashion "rules" are not kind to women my age. No short shorts, no bikinis, no mini skirts, etc. Then if I go for oversized flowy looks (wide leg pants e.g.) I am told this silhouette will overwhelm my small frame and short height. What am I supposed to do, wear Bermudas and button down shirts all summer? I guess so. Oh right, I am supposed to buy all sorts of midi and knee length dresses.

I go into fashion resentment mode when it gets hot!

I have snow and rain alternating with the same winds as Denise, so it's certainly a fantasy right now. I would pull out my new ink blue cold shoulder blouson dress and pair it with my MoHop sandals in a bright colored ribbon, maybe orange.

It's my reality too - I'm wearing regular shorts 5" with a vintage cotton printed pattern t-shirt, sandals and a light necklace. And my hair up. I may need to reach out more and try some sleeveless dresses this summer. I ordered a couple and I have one I've never worn out of the house. I think I'm a dressaphobic.
