Thanks, Eliza!

The bright orange was a little out of my comfort zone, but not by much — I can often get away with it if the orange skews more coral/red, which this one does. More yellow-y oranges are less flattering on me. I tried on that same top in white, which was nice, but felt more basic. The orange looked so good with the dark denim, hubs insisted.

Yeah, I hear you on unique and well-made pants! Pants are so often a difficult fit for me that it always surprises me when I find interesting pants and they actually work! This year some trends have been in my favor (roomy legs, full lengths!), so I have gone a little bit crazy and I’m well-stocked in a variety of pants now. To the surprising point where I was doing a little closet organizing the other day and thought, “OK, no more pants shopping,” which is a very rare thing for me to say. I already need to take three (fall-winter) pairs to the tailor in the fall, once I see how my changing size settles down in the next few months.

Oh! And thanks for the well wishes! I’m feeling much better now (a little lingering sinus stuff, but that could also be weather-related). Back to my active self and no longer needing to isolate — yay!

I'm glad you're feeling better, Janet. I've avoided it so far as well and it has become sort of a challenge to keep it that way!
You got some beautiful pieces, great birthday gifts. I can't wait to see the outfits you'll create. It's always inspiring!

Thanks, JP! Stay vigilant and keep using the hand sanitizer!

I’m actually wearing the blue pants today to enter the world again! Just running a few errands but it’s a hot day and the pants are nice and breezy. Just wearing them with a simple white V-neck tee and white sandals.

The cobalt pants were a must buy! You look amazing in all of these but outfit #1 took my breath away, just stunning on you - beautiful fit, interesting design, gorgeous fabric and the perfect colour. You need to go shopping with Jaime more often!

KILLER STUNNING GORGEOUS ITEMS AND STYLING ALL ROUND, Janet!

You look a million times better in these items than the models in the stock photos.

I knew you'd rock barrel pants!!! SOOOO glad you got them

"It would seem that a green dress is not meant to be for me, at
least not this summer. The Sezane dress (pic 1)is nice but really fits
me nothing like the model — it is much more fitted and curve-hugging
than I would like. I even tried a larger size as well and the issues
remain. I am not after any sort of bodycon vibe in a summer dress - I
want breezy. Maybe this would work well for someone with a straighter
body type, or for someone with boobs and hips who is not after that
easier fit that I seek. The quality is nice and the fabric is
substantial. Beautifully packaged for delivery too.

However, I more than made up for that fail with a trip to Zero +
Maria Cornejo in NYC. Hubs was over the moon with how several pieces
looked on me, so I have early birthday presents. Stock pics are below —
pics 2-5. I already wore the denim pants and the orange top out to a
jazz club in NYC. The vest in 4 is SO COOL — http://essaypapers.reviews/ the fabric is gorgeous. Can
be styled in a bunch of different ways to span the seasons. I bought
mine a bit more fitted than the model photo. I have to say that I think
the tops look better in person than the stock photos represent!

No pics on me now, as I have finally been caught by Covid after I
avoided it so well for almost 3.5 years, darn it! Isolating and
recovering. I basically just feel like I have a sinus head cold right
now (fever lasted only a day), and I’m a bit bored of reading and
watching streaming shows, so I’m going to try to get some work done
today, and maybe go for an easy walk"

It's understandable that you were looking for a breezy fit rather than a curve-hugging style. Dress fittings can vary based on individual body types, and what works for one person may not work for another. It's great that you appreciated the quality and packaging of the dress, even though the fit wasn't what you were hoping for.

On a positive note, it sounds like your trip to Zero + Maria Cornejo in NYC was a success! It's wonderful that your husband was thrilled with how the pieces looked on you, and you were able to find early birthday presents. The denim pants, orange top, and the versatile vest all sound like stylish and versatile choices. It's great that you were able to wear some of them to a jazz club and enjoyed their design and fabric.

Oh wow, love these on you! Those pants are so cool and love the vest. The print softens the cut so nicely. Gorgeous!

I don't know what happened to my 2nd comment, so I'll try to recreate what I said... I saw your outfit photos after I posted my 1st comment. I love every outfit, I knew you'd do something cool with those pieces and they look 1000 times better on you than on the models. Now that I see your outfits I want those pieces too. Enjoy wearing them!

All the new items are FAB and you styled them well. My favorites are the first two. But the first one is the gold medal winner! YLF!

Thanks for sharing your Sezane experience, Janet. I've tried them a couple of times over the past year or two but haven't had much luck either. & Other Stories has a similar vibe so maybe it's worth a look.

So sorry about Covid! Hope you're up and about soon.

I absolutely love the vest and the cobalt blue pants! All your outfits look great, but that one is over-the-moon gorgeous.

So glad to hear you’re feeling better!
