@ Peacechick - I think it's easier to have clothes that play together well when you -do- have a uniform! Mid-rise flare skirt + blouse with small or no pattern is easy to shop for

So you're sometimes layering a dress under another dress or a dress under a skirt? That's a smart way to keep warm! Great line-up for next week lyn.

@ Claire - shhhhh, that will be our "little secret" - Helps increase the numbers of "tops" and numbers of "bottoms" I have too!

Layering dresses with dresses, what a great idea! You are very clever. I think you have a very cohesive closet with a lot of fun prints, which must help in quick assembly for those rush days. I see no style compromise here, just a nice collection of outfits each with interesting details. The last one is my favorite because the grey blazer makes the grey print in that dress really pop.

Wow! I love how despite the differences in texture/colours/moods of the outfits, you still manage to come up with these outfits in such a short amount of time! This goes to show that you've developed a system that works for you!

I'm especially in love with outfit #6. I really love how you mix different prints together!

Bravo! I really like #2 and #4. It looks like a lot of your wardrobe plays well together. Going with the hiding idea, is there a way you can arrange them in your closet so you're not staring at them all week?

You are a styling machine. From the thread title I thought maybe you were prepping for a fire drill

Amazing. Ive been doing that for a while (just in my head or on paper) and it makes the mornings so much easier, especially when I'm on call and have 2 days to prep on one morning. I rarely change my mind unless weather or plans do something very unexpected. (Or today, when the plaid shirt I planned to wear was IN THE LAUNDRY, so I guess I would benefit from the hanger version).

What amazes me is how much each one of these outfits looks just like you, even just hanging on the hanger. You have your style nailed perfectly!

@ L'Abeille - I used to make outfits on StyleBook, but I found I ran into the problem that a lot of the outfits I imagined didn't actually work out in real life. I think back then my closet was not cohesive enough yet to allow for full mix and match!

I hate it when the piece I want to wear is in the laundry/soiled/doesn't fit. Really throws a wrench in my system!!!

You must be a superwoman!!! It would be a good day if I planned one outfit in that 15 mins o_O

Nice job--a week of fab outfits in no time flat. These are all great. I'm particularly drawn to #1, and yet, well, I just like them all! You had me laughing about your creating these and then wondering if you'll even actually wear them. I've done that--figured out an outfit for the next day and then gone with something entirely different. So much for planning! Still, if I've gone through the exercise of planning an outfit, it does make for quicker dressing in the morning, even if I end up going with something else. Not sure how that works.

This is so much fun and your outfits look great. The styling challenge. In my Hollywood Look For Less Style Show I used to challenge a member of the audience to create one outfit in 3 minutes against the clock. Brings back memories.
PS Thanks for commenting on my YLF post:)

Way to go. You are amazing and you have the best clothes!

Good job. You need to pitch this as an article idea for a women's magazine. Wherein you share your secrets. I love the part about hiding the outfit so you don't second guess yourself or tire of the look!

I can't give away all my secrets!
