Shannon you and your family will be in my prayers. I went through the same thing with my father in law a couple of months back and I know it's a very difficult and emotional time. Take care of one another...sending you a big hug.

Shannon, hang in there and know that we are sending you peaceful vibes at this stressful time. I know how hard it can be... don't forget to take care of yourself as well as those who need you.

(And sorry to be so late chiming in.)

I went through this 1.5 years ago with my own father. It was brief, though, lasting in his case only a few weeks. It was very difficult and painful. Please remember to take care of yourself and give yourself some time to do something every day that you enjoy.

I don't really know everyone on the forum very well, but this is sad news. Hugs for you and your family.

Hope you can find strength during this tough time, and that it draws your family even closer together.

We'll be here whenever you're ready

Thank you all again - my father-in-law is very comfortable in palliative care and I have to say, the staff there are beyond stellar. Such wonderful, caring, compassionate people. I truly don't know how they do it.

I've decided that YLF and all of you are going to be my "happy moments" during the day so I'm not going to stop posting after all. It will be less frequent and I'm not sure about WIW posts as my hubby likes to take the photos but I'm going to be around.

Yay!!!! I'm so glad. I think you will find that we do offer respite of a kind, and please post your own pics whenever you can, as you can. I love your style and can't wait to learn more from you!

Thank you Suz - you're so sweet! And I think I have more to learn from you than you from me!
