An update — I already told Angie but just to let you all know, I can’t make it to Seattle after all. I’m hoping for a NYC date that I can make instead! Sorry to miss.

Thanks for trying bj1111 and Janet! I'll see you in NYC later in the year

Saturday, April 11 works for me! Looking forward to it.

Looking forward to April 18th in Seattle!

Wooohoo!! That's brilliant Marmee and Whidbeygirl! Look forward to seeing you!

Woohoo!!!

Finalized the two bookings at Piatti

Inge, ONE MORE WEEK to go!!

Angie, I have been trying to work out a way to come, but I would have to fly there and back on Saturday. With the delays at TSA I don’t feel confident that it will be possible to make both flights and the planned festivities. I’m really disappointed, as I would have loved to meet you all. Please know that I will be thinking of you and vicariously enjoying shopping and lunch. I look forward to future get togethers and will hope that the issues currently plaguing air travel will ease up soon.

Yes, I’m in! Can’t wait to see everyone!

Sounds so fun. Another time, I guess. I will be visiting family in Chicago!

Rock, thanks soooo much for trying! Appreciate that! I bet we'll meet another time - and have a beautiful trip to Spain

Carol, another time indeed! Have a great trip to Chicago.

WOOOHOOOO!!! Natalie!! That's FANTASTIC!! I'll add your name to April 11 group

I realize I’m late, but I’m alive
Anyways I will be at both the 11th & the 18th.
Excuse sideways photo with healthcare handwriting

I'm so excited for all of you who get to celebrate together! Inge, I am very sad and sorry that some travels I'd already planned prevent me from making it. I dearly wish I could meet you and give you a hug in person. I hope your time in Seattle will be uplifting and inspiring!

Yay, Anna! Awesome to hug you again!!! Exciting

Laura, thank you!! SOOO sad we will miss you Enjoy your beautiful trips

Carol and Rock - sorry to miss you.
Natalie and Anna - so looking forward to meeting you again!
Laura - thank you so much. How I wish you could be here with us. One day, we’ll make it happen and we’ll hug in person!

Absolutely, Inge! We will! xo

Checking back in to ask a question and now I’m thrilled to find all these updates from people who will be traveling on one of these two weekends or both! This will be so much fun. I have a friend who’s in Seattle right now and it looks beautiful, but she said it is a little cool and it rained today. With a SoCal mindset, it’s often hard to think about what jacket or wrap to bring. Do you think an umbrella is necessary? How cold is it? My main reason for writing is to pose a QUESTION to Angie and I could post it under “Shopping” but I’ll just do it here:
Angie, since we’ll have such a wonderful opportunity to ask you about our potential shopping items, do you have a preferred or recommended shopping outfit for your clients when they are shopping with you and you are helping them select items for their wardrobe? I am wondering if a dress is better or if something that is a two-piece outfit is preferred? Of course, if I’m looking for shoes, it probably doesn’t matter. Lol. Thank you! See you soon.

In terms of Seattle weather - cooler and often more windy than SoCa. I'm traveling with my puffer - mid length and relatively light ( hood of course and probably no umbrella - forecast is "cloudy with sun breaks" so far ) . Of course it's only by my memory of previous years in Seattle - lol.

Thanks, Slim Cat! Dead right

Vicki, MUCH cooler here than CA - and we live by the water so windy too. To put it into Fahrenheit: 40s in the morning, 50s during the day, and maybe low 60s (if we're lucky). Back to 50s and 40s in the evening.

LAYERS!!! Warm tops and toppers. CLOSED shoes. Boots, sneakers, loafers.

Don't wear puddle length pants - they WILL get wet in the rain.

YES to an umbrella. ALWAYS a good idea.

Shopping outfit:

  • Separates. Pants and jeans are better than a skirt.
  • No dresses or jumpsuits.
  • No difficult layers, rigid clothing, or earrings you will lose.
  • Comfy shoes!

Hope that helps

Angie, thank you so much for answering my questions and now I’m all set with my outerwear. Still thinking about my footwear and it will all come together, no matter what. I forgot to say that with that short trenchcoat jacket post of yours that when I was in Paris last May, that’s when I took notice of those cute jackets and I was taking photos of a few women I spotted on the streets. I’m glad to see there are so many options now. Also one of our tour guide guides in St. Gallen, Switzerland had the cutest rubber Chelsea boots in a shiny burgundy and I thought they were so cute as an accent for inclement weather.

FYI. U Village has big yellow umbrellas you can borrow while you’re there. They have the bins scattered about

That's really good to know, thanks Anna!

Thanks, Anna! Good point. See you soon

Whidbeygirl will no longer be joining us, unfortunately.

That's a shame, Whidbeygirl, you'll be missed.

Let me know if anyone's still looking for a place to stay Fri/Sat night, I'd be open to sharing my hotel room!

Not able to attend but love to know all about it. Pictures!
