How exciting! I LOVE Seattle. I hope you get to do a meetup with some of the area Fabbers. I planned a trip to the Pacific Northwest around a few days in Seattle and had the best time.
If you can, give yourself at least one full day to spend in the city before the conference. I am a big fan of building in some travel buffer/down time before events just in case a flight connection is missed or some other glitch happens. If all goes well, you still get an extra day to recover from travel and relax or explore.
As for jet lag, get yourself on local time as soon as you can. Force yourself to sleep and eat at the local time so your body adapts. It really does help.
