Seasonally Appropriate Colour?

I'm headed out to a storytelling event tomorrow evening, and need a little outfit help. (Or maybe it's just some faux pas prevention I need!)

I have a wonderfully stretchy and comfortable pair of cropped jeans, and I really want to wear them with a sweater and boots - the Born boots from this year's NAS of course!

The problem? Am I allowed to wear very light blue jeans in October?

I feel silly asking but I can't help feeling like the fashion police are going to come after me, firmly scolding (or schooling) me in the rules about denim shade and seasonality.

I'll post a picture of the final outfit if you help. :

Of course wear then very light blue jeans. If white jeans are ok, very light blue will be fine in October. They will be fab with sweater and boots.

I wear mine all year round. Like white jeans, I think its workable depending on what else you wear. Sweater and boots brings it into fall. Light blue looks great with fall colors.

Yes - you must see Angie's post on her new Levi Wedgie jeans. They are the prettiest shade of pale blue and look amazing with her cashmere hoodie and navy blazer. You will be in impeccable company wearing your light blue jeans in October and into the cooler winter months.

I never heard of any 'rule' about not wearing pale blue jeans. If there was/is - well - rules are meant to be broken!

Agree, color is not a problem. I think there are color combos that “fall- ify” them more or less, though. Or if they were a very lightweight crisp fabric, would look more summery. But blue is fab with rich browns, orange, russet, leathers for fall. And especially if you kind of repeat the rich colors in top, boots, bag or scarf for a cohesive look.

No problem. If you want a fall-ish look, just style them with items in fall colours (i.e. cognac or wine) and/or fall fabrics/items like tweed, leather, sweaters, and suede footwear.

Were not really about fashion faux pas here Its a faux pas if youre not comfortable in it or its offensive, thats pretty much it.

Heck yes. (Also, hi, Robin!) Plus, it’s still off and on sunny (though cold) and we have these gorgeous bright fall colors going on, and at the moment, blue sky... your jeans will be right at home color-wise.
