I've recently started back to work and after reading the forums here I felt pretty well prepared wardrobe-wise. I opted to build my work capsule mainly around the color navy. I have a couple of pairs of black trousers and found the most comfortable black shoe to wear with them. (Cole Haan air somethings) The navy pair I have, though, are leading me to dread wearing my navy pants. I have seriously considered wearing my Danskos with them but I see myself in the mirror and shudder. I have some lovely maroon shoes that work well with my navy skirts, but they don't seem to work with my navy pants. Can you ladies point me to some navy pumps with a shorter but thicker heel (or even a wedge!) So I don't give in to the comfort of my Danskos? I'm a nurse, but working in an administrative position now and would really prefer to look more tailored than my old wardrobe of scrubs and Dansko clogs. I still have to walk a LOT, though, so I need a comfortable shoe. I've already had all my pants tailored to accommodate a no more than 2 inch heel. Any ideas? Thanks, all!
