Here is my next collection of Summer footwear I'm considering. I have loved the trend of low (under 2") wedge heeled sandals with ankle strap or cage construction. I have been wearing this style since 2010-11 and have found them to be comfortable, stylish and quite supportive for a sandal. I think it's all of that structure around the heel and ankle.

I have noticed that this trend is on the downward curve though (sadly). The sporty trend and espadrilles are taking over, and I do like the sporty look but it can be clunky and not as pretty as these sandals. I love espadrilles but sprained my ankle wearing them in the late 70s so I am proceeding with caution.
