Here are my best efforts to take advantage of menswear blazer trend I've been seeing around. I like the idea of this look, but I don't want to pay a lot since I'm not sure the cost-per-wear will be all that high. So, after some trial-and-error, these were my best options at the price I was willing to pay.

Halogen - this was offered in petites, so it fits without any alterations. I like the color with denim but the fabric is a little lightweight for my climate and always seems to look wrinkled in photos. Doesn't look particularly "oversized" for that aspect of the trend, if that's important. Wild card: I also ordered this jacket in the navy pinstripe, but it hasn't arrived yet.

Trouve - this will require alterations, both in the sleeve and for the length, as I think it is too long even for the trend (I've tucked it under on one side to show the length I'm thinking about). However, the fabric is more substantial and I like the fall colors.
