My Kristen Blake Hooded Rain Jacket (plus) arrived today.

Nordstrom instructed to size down a size, so I did. From my usual size. Although looking at the chart, it might have been two sizes in my waist, and who knows whether it was one or two sizes down in my hips, as I am short waisted and big abdomen and thighs, so no one ever seems to know where to measure me.

I am wearing a sleeveless cotton knit shell underneath.

The oddest part was that the tightest area was my bust and arms. Odd because my bust measurement reflects the smallest size of my multi-sized body, and smaller than the smallest part of the size range I sized down from. It is perhaps not as surprising that the arms were tight as I have extra left from when I was larger. But, I have never had this problem in a coat before. And, there is extra material above my bust near my arm.

There is no extra room for a long sleeve shirt, let alone a sweater, across the bust. Maybe a very thin sweater would fit in the waist and hip area.

The gold snaps are quite bright and I prefer silver. Also, I find the small gap below the placket a bit strange.

I will ponder whether to re-order, and if so, my regular size or one up. Or both.

Really not sure if I will reorder due to the strange-on-me fit, and as I have other coats that fit and fill the everything but the "bright color I love" and the "more red" niche in my wardrobe.
