I’ve been dealing with chronic foot and heel pain from plantar fasciitis for quite some time. The only shoes I can wear are thick, cushioned sneakers. I make them work with some outfits, but they are not my first choice for going out to a nice restaurant or event.

One day I heard a woman enthusiastically raving about the comfort of her Bzees (a brand I had never heard of or noticed) in a Dillard’s shoe department, so I tried a pair of slip-ons I could wear around the house. They worked for me, and I went home happy, but I really wanted something for going out. So I ordered these TTS sandals from Macy’s, and they have been great, cushioning my heel so I can actually walk without pain. I won’t be trekking long distances, but they really help me feel more polished and stylish when I go out in jeans, Bermuda shorts, or casual dresses.

Bzees are machine washable and are available at Macy’s, Dillard’s, Nordstrom, and DSW, as well as the Bzees website (and perhaps other stores, too). Prices and colors can really vary from place to place, so it’s worth it to shop around a bit.
