I appreciate that I am taking risks with my wardrobe. Weight loss journey has given me the confidence to try new colors, fabrics, and fits that I wasn't comfortable with before, and I'm learning a lot about happiness factor.

I've done a good job of picking colors that work well for me. Since I started paying closer attention to that, I've noticed that I have a much easier time mixing and matching compared to a few years ago.

I really appreciate the adaptability of my wardrobe. I am amazed at how much of it I've still been able to use throughout my pregnancy and that I've been able to maintain my current style without buying a bunch of new maternity clothes. Most of the pieces I've bought during this pregnancy are tunics, long sweaters or stretchy non-maternity skirts that I can hopefully still use afterwards!

I love that I finally understand what wardrobe holes are (thanks, Angie!) and have been able to fill those - so that I can wear the pretty things in my closet! Which is one of my resolutions for 2013 - no more orphans!

Cocolion, I know I am taking your words out of context somewhat, but I LOVE what you said, "so I have a bit of the entire rainbow."

Nice

I appreciate that my wardrobe makes me HAPPY.

I appreciate that it's becoming more in tune with my lifestyle and dominant season. I still have some summer heat items on my list but I am doing much better at not buying so much for our very short cold season.

Still working on the editing part, but I'm happy that I can dress for any occasion (except black tie). I have color, print, texture and neutrals that make me smile. Plus I'm starting to hone in on comfy footwear so my feet are pretty happy too!

I appreciate that I have a great core wardrobe that can take me through most situations, and that quality and fit is improving rapidly because I edit more and make better choices now. I also love it because it is great fun to work on it!

I appreciate the versitility of my wardrobe. I've learned over the past couple of years to experiment with all kinds of mixing - different seasons, dressy with casual, patterns, layers, different color combinations - and it's really opened up an endless supply of fun for me.

Right now, it has what I want to wear. I wanted to wear prison stripes and forest green... and lo and behold, they're in the closet already!

Good post! It's nice to see so many who've gotten their wardrobes to a fairly happy state that they can continue working on.

Hmmm, my answer... Well I'm up and down with mine, it's still a long way off from where I'd like it to be. That said, these days I am mostly grateful that my wardrobe is in a good enough place to be quite functional and stylish while I really work hard at replacing items with things that fit correctly (both my body and lifestyle). I am also grateful by parallel that the oversized trend is picking up, or things would be less happy for me

Right now: ...working on fit issues, working on acquiring the "ideal" pieces that function as workhorses (some are pretty good at the moment), working on reducing my size and therefore the number of sizes in my closet (smaller sizes are in storage)...

BUT... I am liking my color scheme - my dominant colors are greys, dark blues, black and red with some white, brown and a bit of of aubergine purple. These are my basic colors, red being the "bright".
I do have a few other colors in there too but they are fairly subdued, even muted jewel tones, like a dark emerald, dark teal and olive.

p.s. I don't wear black and red together - red goes with greys, blues or browns.

I am pleased that what is in my wardrobe now can be used for any event that might crop up at short notice. We have a short spring here and a long hot summer and things can change suddenly temperature wise. So I have items to layer in there at the moment. Most of my summer wear is ready so all I will do is remove the heavier winter garments and put in the rest of my summer outfits including the very lightweight ones. I have introduced a lot more colours to my wardrobe choices and I am getting many more compliments.
