I've been shopping my closet lately and evaluating/culling a few things here and there when I have time, Work attire is unchanged but there are a few dressier occasions coming up that will require a little more effort. I pulled out a few dresses that haven't seen daylight in ages (or ever) and was a little stumped at how to make them look current. My old default was to dress them down with sneakers but that's not the effect I'm going for now. (TBH, I've been shopping for dressier footwear but it's been a bust with my wide-ish forefoot and narrow heels so I decided to try to make use of what I already have.) In my head I thought the mid calf navy boots would be an easy pairing so I was surprised that I didn't love the look except with the midi dresses. My old OTKs, on the other hand, I didn't think would work with the shorter dresses but actually think they look decent. Would appreciate your thoughts before I go out in public... TIA! Adding photos in a minute.
