I did a quick double-take at the first photo of your brother. I imagine that he greatly resembles your dad from his earlier years. They just look so much alike! Love the way you add a bright spot to a rainy day.

*plonk*

This is beyond fab. It makes me smile just looking at it!

Wonderful and fabulous! Not sure if I have had Dutch cheese but now I want some.

Great photos and delicious looking cheese.

We have a couple of excellent Dutch Style Gouda makers near me - families that emigrated here post WWII or later, established dairy farms and now award winning cheesemongers. I adore it!!

Love to see your family together.

Oh, I recognize the umbrella, you’ve had it for years
Heart warming to see how your father’s face lights up when you’re near.

You’ve got the best reds. They’ve got punch.

It’s raining here today also. And now I’ve got a bug in my head that’s saying maybe I should go to the Nordic store for some cheese... or to Gaumenkitzel at least for abendbrot...

Love the Red and Burgundy! So cheery for a gloomy day Oh how I miss cheese shops (European style) and streets that specialize in cheese, chocolates, fruits and vegies. America's version of "farmers markets" just isn't quite the same....Love the photo of the "cheese man", hahaha.

Oh how I wish that red boot came in cream or white!!

Mmmm, cheese.
You make me want to add some cheerful color to my outerwear capsule! Beautiful photos!

Fantastic pictures! Your father looks so happy to have you all there.

That does it! Burgundy velveteen pants have now gone to the top of my wish list for next year.

Gotta bring our own cheer to those rainy days (and I'm sure to everyone you met on your appointments, too!). Fab as always! And how fun to be pals with the cheese guy, I need one of those

Thank you for taking the time to share the fun (and fab fashion) with us! You are so fantastic at color mixing, and you all look happy!

love! i love how your outfit pops against the weather!

Love your red/burgundy outfit, it looks so bright and happy. The cheese looks delicious, mmm.

Quick chime in from Velp. Thanks for the awfully kind words. Last day here and I fly back tomorrow. It's busy making sure everything is organized for my Dad.

I can't seem to remove the red booties Find from my post on my phone. No, I did not buy them. They are photo bombing my thread!

Linder51, I don't like Swiss cheese at all, actually. I like a few French cheeses, a few British cheeses, and for the rest it's Dutch all the way.

Diana and Gradfashionista, I'll have to explain Dutch cheese to you on a separate thread.

Smittie, you are cute to have researched Dutch cows.

Lisa p, that's an 8 year old J.Crew coat. Back in the day when their coats were made in Italy, and their assortments and quality were more like Boden.

So great to see your clothes in action! And your dad looking well and happy. I'm also amazed by the rounds of what I just think of as one type of cheese (gouda), but I'm betting these are all different varieties? Looking forward to the cheese post!

Angie, you have inspired me and I wore my red dress and burgundy bag on Thursday, so thank you. I would never have put these colours together without you!

Jane, YAY. I'm humbled and high five.

Missed this earlier! Chiming in to salute your amazing compositions with red. So cheery and polished. Absolutely inspiring, just as your presence with your father is. Welcome home.

Awesome tonal dressing. You inspire and challenge( in the very best way) my perception of color combination
I happen to LOVE cheese, I would be that farmer bff if I was there .
