Kellygirl, thank you, you are very kind.

Ms Maven, thank you. I would love to see the photos of your pussy bow outfits, if you would like to share them some time.

JAileen, thank you.

I don’t usually like pussy bows, but this looks nice on you, and not fussy. Like that jacket too.

Missed you around here.
I have always liked them. At the moment I have only one. A denim blouse that I wear with a black skirt. Or under a blazer. Because of the fabric i am not wearing it often.
You look marvellous with them.

Katerina, what I meant was: Sadly, many of the pussy bow blouses I have seen have necklines which are too deep for me or have other "open" details in front. I want pussy bow blouses that I can comfortably wear in winter, so I seek a "covered" turtleneck or semi-turtleneck style.

Your blue blouse is gorgeous. If I had a similar blouse, I would love to wear it with i.e.:
● My black leather skirt and a long cardigan
● My offwhite pants and a large warm shawl
● Black jeans and a blazer
● My black/blue/pink/red/purple/grey patterned velvet skirt and my black moto jacket
There are lots of possibilities ....

Like Kkards and Janet, I find they look fussy in my world and, like others, overly formal. But if I had a different lifestyle, I would definitely wear them as I think they're quite appealing for all the reasons you mentioned!

Katerina, great to see you!

You wear pussy-bow blouses really well. I can see how they work to soften the lines of a smart jacket for you.

I don't think the look suits me at all. It just doesn't work with my physical characteristics and the other elements of my style...makes me feel like a little girl playing dress-up. But I will enjoy it on others!

Katerina, I’ve missed you. I like a pussy bow blouse if it stayed tied and have not worn them as much lately but have also not been reaching for blazers either. I love how they bring the eye up. If the weather would warm up a bit, I would be more likely to wear them.
You are the Queen of the pussy-bow. You always look great in them.

So good to see you Katerina! I love pussy blow blouses on you but they don't work for me at all. A bit too dressy for my lifestyle, and, no doubt, the bow would come undone all day long on me. If I were to wear one, I would try it with a long jacket like you did in #6. But you look fantastic in all of these.

Love them!!!!!!!!!

Due to a weight change, I purged a lot of my former wardrobe. What I replaced it with only includes one button down blouse. No pussy bows, yet.

Katerina! I’m so happy to see you back! Yes! I have the Banana Republic Riley shirt that was an Angie pick a few years back. I’m more likely to wear it as a button down without the bow these days, since it is a little formal for my casual lifestyle. It is a very ‘crisp’ shirt and ‘in your face’ bow! FWIW, I’ve threaded the neck tie through the belt loops of a pair of pants and tied a big off-center bow at the hip - as an alternative to wearing a belt.

Your style is as fab as ever, Katerina. A pussy bow blouse works so well with your wardrobe and with your look. You look amazing in them. I do like how you accessorize your outfits.
I don't wear pussy bow blouses. They are too dressy for my casual lifestyle. I tend to wear very simple tops. Also, I can not stand to have anything tied around my neck. I rarely wear necklaces these days.

I have a favorite pb blouse in a hammered satin. It may be from banana republic... I suspect it's at least 7 years old, maybe older. I rarely get the opportunity to wear it anymore.

JCrew had a fun leopard print one last year, and JCPenney has some cute ones https://www.jcpenney.com/s?searchTerm=bow+blouse

Wow, long time no seen, but so delicious outfits! Happy you are back Katherina! I have some pussy (uni green and golden khaki with a satin shine-and one sleeveless in matte white) and love them but I seldom wear them as a bit dressy, yours are all fab, too. But have just ordered one of cotton puplin like a shirt fabric (bl&w stripe) see if can wear more often for casuals, too. ETA. wow nr 8 is so trendy and unexpected with the sneaks!!!:-) love!

I do, and love your outfits!
Below are 3 pussybow blouses from 2015 that I still happily wear. I usually wear the bow left long like this, as if it were a scarf or tie.

I can appreciate it on others, but I find the volume of the bow means I spill on them too often! I had one blouse I loved about a decade ago, and was mortified after an important meeting when I found I had a spaghetti sauce drip on the silk bow! I never bought another one.

I have one such blouse. I try to wear it, not as the ladylike "tie" but rather as something loose and louche, maybe with leather pants or a vest.

So nice to see a post from you, Katerina. I have just one black pussybow style blouse. It’s quite dressy, with lace sleeves. I wear it either by itself or with a blazer topper. I enjoy wearing it but don’t have any pics.

You look great in these! I was looking for one for myself recently but didn't find "the one." I would probably wear one with some jeans to dress it down. I agree that in your outfits, the PB blouse helps to soften the blazers.

Fashintern, thank you.
Adriana, it sounds great. I really like denim with black.
The Cat, I see what you mean. And thank you for the ideas, great as usual.
Notsaf and SarahD8, thank you for chiming in!
Joy, thank you. I can really see you in a pussy bow blouse.
Shevia, thank you. It is interesting that they do not work for you - you have such a bold and versatile style.
Sterling, how fun you love them. Maybe your next blouse will be a pussy bow.

Runcarla, I love that blouse on you. And what a clever styling idea!
Nemosmum, sounds great! Unfortunately, I cannot access the JCPenney website from where I am
Lyn 67, thank you. B&w stripes sound lovely!
Oh, Kari, these are beautiful. Just the styles I love to wear myself!
Laura, I know! I spill often as well and I have to be careful with my scarves
UmmLila, what a clever pattern! Love it.
Windchim, sounds lovely and quite versatile!
Gigi, thank you.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I've only just seen this! I love pussybow blouses because they're usually more covered up but without being too fussy (I don't like to wear lots of ruffles & ribbons, for example, but the bow helps to break up the vast expanse of chest).

I'm currently working on acquiring silk or natural fibre pussybow blouses in different colours - I'll post my charity shop finds here eventually

Yes, I do!

This thread seems newly relevant to me too because it relates to the impact of mask wearing, how to add interest and femininity when lipstick, earrings, etc aren't practical.

Katerina, I love these outfits. The pussybow blouse is such a natural for your style; you wear it beautifully. I especially like 2&3, with that luscious pattern that is so pretty with your complexion, and 4, which looks like an iris shade, with those tonal pants, topped with the checked blazer. Just exquisite!
I adore the look of this style on you and others who wear it so well. It's a more formal look than what I would wear, although I could see myself wearing a low-tie version like what Kari and Ummlila show.

I've loved this look for 50 years, and have worn pussy cat bow blouses and dresses whether they were in fashion or not . It's amazing that at the age of 68 I still get comments on how stylish, elegant and ladylike I look when wearing one of my many items of clothing which have this feature. I also get the impression that many men find them very sexy whilst many ladies find them rather frumpy. I think a lot can depend on whether the bow is loose, untidy and floppy or tight, prim and pert. I'll post a few pictures when I'm entitled to do so.

I like them on you Katerina-looks like they are a staple in your outfits and style. I never thought wearing a pussy bow blouse instead of a scarf-but it really makes sense-so great idea. I don't personally wear much pof these nowadays -but have a white sleeveless top and a golden satin one in my wardrobe if needed for dressy -AND guess what? I wore one Vneck pussy blouse in a blue-teal-fuchsia print with a cream tailored pencil skirt suit for my civil wedding 32 yrs ago!:-))

I don’t wear them now but for me would tend to wear a narrower sash and sometimes wear it just looped over and not in a bow. More because I have a small head and features.

I agree it’s a good signature style for you, but if you get to where you want to re- interpret the look a bit, I’d be interested in seeing you try some different combinations. I’m not quite sure what that would be. I think I’d have to search under the items and see what jumped out at me. It might be less formal and more juxtaposition of classic with elevated casual , or proportions with something besides longer blazers over trousers. Maybe a softer jacket. This would likely be more related to my own style needs and hence not necessarily the right direction for you.

A 3 years old thread revived by a quite new member.

Cat , I THOUGHT I had seen this one before but didn’t quite get it in time.

I find them way too fussy for me, but absolutely gorgeous on you!
