Here are two more possibilities with my new Simon Chang high rise brown twill pants.
I think part of my previous malaise (http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....e-holidays) may be that need a slimmer matching brown belt for it. Thank you for encouraging me.
Outfit 1 (pics 1 - 3) : Monochrome Symphony
Here worn with a sweater my mon made, orinally for my son when he was 10, from a vintage French pattern, but I am the one wearing it all the time! It has a huge turtleneck fastened on the side by a long zipper which starts on the arm. When zipped, the neck stand up in a sturdy way, but if I unzip part of it it lays flat in a very artsy way. (pic 3).
Because of the monochrome, I instinctively "accept" these pants better.

Outfit 2 (pics 4 -7): Wish-I-Could-Wear-Now
... but will have to wait another two months before I can sport it. I love this one, it makes me feel good. But the midnight blue top is just too thin for now, neck is too bare, and jacket a tad too rigid to be worn under the big parka coat. It will work under my other long Angora coat, which is now not enough to withstand the weather.
I have noticed that with my body type, and contrary to Angie's personal preferences, sleeves popping out of toppers'sleeves tend to look really good on me! I also like to fold them above a jacket's sleeves. I find it brings unity. But I still don't know why.
