Ponte and Pet Hair?

I don't own anything made of ponte di roma, but in my never-ending quest for black ankle pants I've run across lots of it. My greatest hesitation is that I will have to lint roll it every time I wear it. For those of you who own dogs/cats/other furry critters, do you find ponte better, worse, or about the same as other materials in terms of pet hair magnetism?

In my experience, ponte performs better than black denim and wool, but worse than performance/athletic leggings. My pets are not heavy shedders, though.

Honestly, I have to lint roll everything I own- especially of its black. I don't think my ponte stuff is any worse than my other blacks.

For me...worse than cotton, denim, gear-type leggings, but better than corduroy, linen, anything with a more textural (less fine) weave. Ponte pants (and pets!) are so worth it though!

I try to avoid polyester for this reason, but have multiple lint rollers in various places at the ready. Our fuzzy dog is black and white so I'm doomed. Ponte with a smooth, tight finish is the least likely to trap pet hair.

Joy, I have a tri-colored Australian Shepherd. His fur stands out no matter what color I'm wearing! Tweeds and heathered greys are where it's at.

His fur is long and coarse, though, so it doesn't stick to everything the way cat hair does. I can wear linen, most cotton twill and canvas, any gearish fabric except polar fleece, a fair amount of wool wovens as long as they don't contain polyester, etc without too much trouble. I prefer the look and feel of the more "slick" ponte anyway. Maybe I'll give it a go!

Ha. Yesterday, I looked at the back of my legs in bright sunlight after hopping off of a spin bike at the gym, and noticed lots of fluff and cat hair and at that exact moment , the woman behind me says : you clearly have a cat? Ugh. Yeah , ponte is as bad as workout tights - and worse than denim for sure. I keep forgetting to check myself before leaving the house - note to self to keep a lint roller in my car.

My cat does most of his shedding in summer, thank goodness, when I am wearing light fabrics that don't pick up as much lint.

Even so, I often wear an extra sweater of cat fur. Ooops.

Re ponte -- some seem impervious and some pick it up like crazy. There's a sort of super smooth version that sheds it pretty fast. These Halogen pants are made of it.

Yeah, I just take off any ponte pants I may be wearing as soon as I get home and put them in the closet, which theoretically my cat is not supposed to enter...

Ponte is a cat hair magnet in our house. I only really wear ponte for work, though, so I just don't pick up kitty after I've gotten dressed for the day, and clothes get hung up as soon as I get home in the evening and take them off.
