Just wanted to say that I wore my outfit out today and I felt so good. I didn't even have to feel self conscious about my protruding tummy because the dress hid it well! Leggings are beyond comfortable. My boyfriend and I had lunch at the fashionable Stanford shopping center in Palo Alto, CA and I saw leggings galore... I even saw a girl in stirrup leggings and she looked so fab!

MariannaCecile, I want to echo the others and say that perhaps you should take a break from getting feedback from your Mom. She knows what she likes, which is great for her - but that doesn't mean that you have to look the same.

I'm so glad that everyone here told you how great you look in your new clothes!

It's interesting that your mom feels plus sized women look best in pants. My MIL was a plus sized woman who cared about her appearance and always looked polished and she NEVER would wear pants. She always wore knee length skirts and dresses, even to her job on heavy machinery.

Leggings are incredibly flattering on so many body shapes, and aren't they just incredibly comfy as well? Glad you are a convert too!

I am late but you look AWESOMLY BEAUTIFUL! I love the dress and leggings! And the ballet flats! I don't care for the skinny jeans. (On anybody so don't feel bad). Mom needs to get used to your awesome look! =D
