LisaP, In the stock photo, they don't even tie the "ties" -- they just leave them loose. I can do that, too -- but they hang a bit long on me (I think) proportionately. Still, I'll experiment with that as well, maybe if I'm wearing a platform to give me a bit more height. I think you could also tuck them under inside the top, but I imagine you'd have to pin or fashion tape them to stay put. Still, it's possible to be a bit creative with them.
Thanks, Lisa, Sister Blue!
Sal, thanks -- and yes -- I love it when responses are varied because it shows the taste of the viewer yet suggests that none of the ways is really bad. I think I prefer it with the pants so far, too - but I might find a way to style it better with the skirts with some experimentation.
Thanks, Cookie! Maybe I can have some thrifting success for more brooches?
Angie, thanks! I'll take K to the power of K any day!
JAileen, yes, I do like the textural difference between that skirt and the top and the skirt also looks great with the brooch.
Carla, thanks! I think it will be versatile, too, and it is cool and lightweight and breezy. So a good find, I hope.
Jenni, thank you! I hear you the the dark - -and it is a dark navy too. (I actually suit a brighter navy better -- but it's hard to find.) I think in person it's less somber, though and when you can see how lightweight the fabric is, you don't feel so weighed down by dark. I hope!
