Angie- the ones I see posted are boots not sneakers , and have a moderate heel / chunky sole .

Angie in tie dye. I can’t wait to see that!

We don't have much of a spring (unless you count the winter) but will soon transition to summer, I have started the shoes switch around but need to check my long shorts for viability and mood suitability .

LJP, I mean boots! They are very casual boots - Freudian slip

Brooklyn, if Ralph Lauren makes a tie-dye, it's got that crisp Preppy integrity. And the quality is smashing. I'm in! It's a very cute summery top with white and ecru pants - style colliding AGAIN

My summer wardrobe is basically t-shirts and shorts, so I don't need much of anything new. I would like another pair of these Vionic sandals (I have the gold ones), and I have been thinking about a pair of very graphic black and white sneakers for running around. I had a pair of Clarks that were similar a few years ago and I ran them into the ground.

And Heaven help me, I love these crazy Boden clogs. Maybe if they go on sale!

Cookie - I hope the LL Bean tees work for you. I adore how soft their Pima cotton is, and it has a nice weight to it too. Not flimsy or see through. I’m also delighted they make a scoop neck which is my favorite tee shirt neckline but so very hard to find,

What can I say. At least I have decent jeans and khakis now, and a nice pair of black trousers that fit.
I hope I can do some shopping in person fairly soon. It seems like that's what it will take to get my wardrobe sorted.
I'll probably end up going to the Chicago area again. Not entirely looking forward to it. Being mid-size and old enough to have watched the moon landing on TV, this sort of trip requires calm, focus, projecting the right image and keeping my sense of humor - even if the only thing they have in my size is a t-shirt that says DOG MOM on the front.

Oh no, daylight saving finishes tonight and now I will be sadder for over 2 months until the solstice on 21 June when we slowly begin to get lighter again. Jealous of all of you in the Northern Hemisphere…

You know, I never put any clothes in storage, and my closet holds them all. It is also likely that any day of the year, I may need a sweater, or a breezy skirt, so I keep it all available.

That being said-- I just added a couple shirts to my s/s wardrobe--pure linen. I am in my "hot and hormonal" years, and bad fabric will give me a tantrum. If I could do any spring/summer wardrobe, I would do all linen popover dresses, with slip-on shoes.

Great color, Carla!

And a good question. I panic-unpacked my sandals the other day when the temps reached 80 and I decided to get my first pedicure since September. Yikes! So I did a loose inventory of that category. And I shoved some of my most wintry boots in those storage boxes without thinking too deeply about whether I want to keep all of them for next winter. That will be a project then.

Spring doesn’t last long here, and it gets hot and humid before you know it, so I’ve learned not to invest too heavily in anything that won’t be useful in summer or fall. I have plenty, although some pieces are feeling a bit old to me. I took a couple of tops out of the wardrobe and added them to the giveaway bag. They’re all pre-2020 items so I feel I got my use out of them.

I did some shopping in March after not doing any in Jan-Feb. Some of these items are definitely more spring than summer, but wearable again in the fall, so I’m good with them. I am already wearing my new platinum Adidas a lot!

I have kept an eye out for a pair of sandals to boost my summer outfits and add some current edge, but nothing has jumped out at me yet. I’m not sure exactly what I’m looking for. Blue might be nice, or a new metallic, or maybe even white. I’m set for black. But if I don’t find anything, I’m not lacking for stuff to put on my feet.

I have also been pondering a more summery bag. I’ve been enjoying my two new bags, and giving my trusty old Bao Bao a break. I break out my old silver Milly leather tote this time of year as it always feels more summery to me, but it’s now 10 years old. It still looks ok but there’s some wear around the edges, and sometimes I think an update would be nice. Not critical though. I’m minding a bit of patina less and less these days, as long as an item doesn’t look ratty.

I’m in good shape for pants. Jeans season will end for me before long, and I have some linen and linen-like wide leg pants. I also bought those tie-side navy pants at Anthro recently. I also have some skirts waiting to come back out to play with graphic tees and the like.

I culled a lot of my old shorts at the end of last season. I have two pairs of athletic shorts, and only five other pair, two of which are “around the house” wear only. I would like to find a new pair of longer straight Bermuda-ish shorts since my absolute favorite grey ones are getting frayed at the edges. And I wouldn’t mind an updated pair of denim shorts since I gave all those old ones away too. But shorts shopping is not my favorite. I may order a couple of pairs if I see something interesting, while longer inseams are supposedly trending.
