Pilcro High Rise Relaxed Jeans

I was intrigued by the jeans in today’s blog post, so stopped by Anthro to try them on. The first two pictures are a smaller size, and the third is larger. Thoughts? I like them, though not sure the legs look “relaxed” on my body type. The orange stripe is fun.

That was fast I like them, but agree that they don't look like a relaxed fit. Not what I'm personally looking for - I'm glad you posted "real" pics and saved me a trip to Anthro .

cute...as you say not as relaxed on you as the model,. but I do like them. (I have no preference on the size)

They are cool jeans. I will say from personal experience that most Pilcro jeans and pants stretch a bit with wear, so I would strongly recommend trying the size you have on, and wearing them around the house with tags before making a decision. I almost sized up in one pair and I'm glad I didn't because they definitely eased up.

pilcro will ease up as janet says. i mistanely bought the boyfriend jeans in normal size (they were marked down huge) and they are quite baggy and quite alot of crotch area drooping (more than any other boyfriend jean)

I have some jeans in a similar cut and they feel just right for my body type- so comfy, no pulling or tugging. Enjoy!

They look FABULOUS. On the relaxed side of tailored. I almost bought them. Went for a dresser pair with white stitching instead.

love that button fly! so cute. they might stretch out a bit and be more relaxed. My Pilcro jeans have not but I didn't want them to either. The larger size does look more relaxed and you might 'feel' more comfortable in them? would you reach for them in your closet more often?

lisa p- happy to help! I truly appreciate when forum members post try-on pictures. Even unstyled and with the poor lighting of dressing rooms, I learn a lot about whether something will work for me.

kkards, Janet, jane- thanks for the validation! These check a number of boxes for me, with the button fly and the stripe detail. I'm trying to decide if I truly care whether they look "relaxed."

lisaflex- "crotch area drooping"- exactly- the larger pair would have had to be altered in the waist, and as I stood around in them, the creases at the crotch point became more visible, as if there was too much fabric, so the fit was clearly slightly off there.

Cheryl- the fit of both works for me, but the waist of the larger pair would have to be altered for sure, and probably by a fair amount, if the fabric stretches at all. So, I'm leaning to the smaller size.

Jessikams- good to know- and these did feel great as soon as I put them on.

Angie- Thanks! Smaller size it is! Really appreciate your chiming in while on your trip. Which jeans did you get? These are perfect for me, since I've realized I only wear jeans casually.

Weird, the calves appear much more tapered and the jeans are longer on you than the model (not sure how tall you are but that seems rare). I agree the larger size just looks too big in the rise and doesn’t change the fit of the legs. I like them, but they look more like skinnies than the newer cut that seems represented in the photo.

Jules- I'm 5'6", so definitely shorter than most models:). And, my calves measure 15". So, even what would be a straighter cut on most people, looks a bit more "skinny" on me. I've never found a pair of actual skinny jeans that I like, because the legs are always too fitted for my comfort.
