Finally doing some try-ons. First is BR trench, I had to wait for the BR trench I originally ordered online before I realized the item was in store, but only in the smaller size , to decide. This is the XS which fits best, since bulky layering is not needed (it fits over a blazer though snugs up the armhole). The dark color doesn't photo well but the plaid reads as "off-navy," or off-black in some lighting, and is not too patterned to mix with others.
Now the Shoes--Dansko oxfords. I could use some objective "eyes".
Please ignore run in hose; these are sheer hose for try-ons so don't have to risk good hose.
First, 1-4 are with pencil skirts.
Then showing 2 types of flats I have worn in summer and would still wear for variety . The pointy is comfortable except for LONG day and pointy is not so good for my toes. The T strap is rounded and comfortable. Not shown is an AGL nude ballet flat which is 1/2 size too small for best size now but they have not offered another nude--may have to phase them out due to comfort.
Next are with some pants to see if these
would be versatile. Skirts are my target, to add a "heel" bu to have rounded toe for fussy feet. For pants I always feel I have more options, such as loafers.
5-6 Black ankle pants, white ankle pants.
I need to try darker top with black, for column of color before the change to nude shoe, since is different proportion to "closing the gap" with the black ankle strap flat.
Then 7-10 are some other footwear options I would wear (still): the PG black flats, some gray loafers, and 2 types of flats for skirts.
Fit seems good though I could have used narrower--lacing up nearly overlaps the top edges; slight gap in heel that I may be able to fix, but gapping is huge problem now that I have to size up a bit for R foot.
What are you seeing? Any worthwhile difference over classic flats? Other styling ideas? Start over?
Comments and suggestions welcome.
Not sure much better but added 11-12 pics of XS trench (poor imitation of the online model!), and 13 of size S.
