Scotchgard makes a good spray (and yeah I'm pretty sure all of 'em smell- so outside or in the garage or something when treating) I did some Chinese Laundry caramel suede wedge slingbacks .The color was only the very teensiest bit darker after.I've also done bottle green flats,wine flats and olive suede flats too -and with pets I've been very glad I did!

I have used both Wilsons leather spray and Kiwi waterproofer for multiple fabrics.
