How Kit & Ace Pants Fit on Me
I am mainly posting about the Kit and Ace Mulberry (charcoal heather, worn with white boots) and York (black, worn with dark green boots) ponte pants, in order to show how they look from front and side, and length on 5'4" moi. Both could be a teense shorter but I have been lazy on that front. I broke my tripod trying to fit my larger, new phone in it, so I am stuck with the dark backdrop of my bathroom mirror. The very last photo is the York pants, no shoes or socks; they are the length of the front leg (not sure what contortion I had going on the other leg.)

I also decided to wear this shortish length leopard print top so as not to cover the parts of the pants that I said were close fitting.

And it seemed that I might as well dig out some pearls and blingy hamsa necklace, given the theme of the day.

What do you think of these AG crop flares?
Finally, the two second-to-last photos are a pair of AG crop flares. I like the shape and length, but I am not keen on the fading by the hips. What do you think? Deal breaker or keeper?

I don't really see the fading on the hips of the jeans, and the fit and length look good on you - so no deal-breaker for me. Hard to see details of the KA pants, but I actually like that length. Mine seem a bit shorter on me, but I'm only an inch or so taller. I'm planning on getting a second pair next time I'm by the store - black this time.

I think the pants look great; I like the length. And I really like the cropped flares on you. As far as the fading goes, it does (to me) give the jeans a more casual look as opposed to dressy, so it depends on whether you're OK with that. I do think that the fit looks marvelous on you.

Thanks for posting the Kit and Ace pants - they seem great! Can;t wait to try some on in person in LA. And I like the jeans. I think they fit fabulously and I don't mind the fading at all. I agree with Gigi that they seem more casual but I love them.

I just got these at the Loft to tide me over -- skinnier in the leg but also a good ponte pant with some structure (pockets, zipper, etc.).

DH shopped for jeans this week and the very expensive C of H Man jeans had the same light marks. The salesman called them whiskering. The pants seem to fit you perfectly.

I love the outfit in 5-6, and like it in 5 more because of the deliberateness of the whiskering in the jeans. Not a deal breaker since they fit nicely.

I love the AG cropped flares, and how you've styled them with the pointy toe. So stylish.

I like the pants on you--nice fits! I especially like the charcoal outfit with the white boots. And the whiskering on the jeans looks fine to me. But I kind of prefer a little bit of distressing, as opposed to a super dark, even wash, to add some dimension, even to my darker wash jeans.

The flares in 5/6 are my favorite look here which surprises me. It looks most modern and stylish. The fading near the hip doesn't bother me. It just highlights your slim figure. On me they might be a deal breaker.

Wow, the cropped flares are awesome on you. Those are keepers for sure. (I can't really see any fading to be honest.) Love the white booties in 1/2. They are beautiful in that outfit!
