What a great idea, Traci! It's worth looking to see if there are any trends...
I still have many NAS items in rotation in my closet. But the workhorse winners fall into two categories: Basics and more "luxury" type items, including footwear and bags.
By basics, I mean underwear and camis. I always stock up at NAS. I won't bother showing Finds for those. But they're among my smartest NAS purchases.
By "luxury" I mean those items that might be prohibitively expensive for me at normal prices, but often end up with a very low CPW once I have them in rotation.
Last year's big surprise winner was the Minkoff hobo. It was a surprise win because it was a hobo (I thought I liked more structured bags) and also because it's so large -- it might have been too oversize for me, yet somehow it works. I also bought a watch (not actually on sale but I bought at the same time) which I have worn every day since.
My "Sweetie" moto boot was the best purchase ever...I got them reheeled last year but alas, they are DONE now and I sorely need and update.
Oddly, I have had some luck with cashmere. The burgundy sweater has pilled a bit from a seat belt but I still love it. The cut is great. I have also returned a lot of cashmere items with tags still on.
I'm not sure I have any outright NAS "fails." I do have items that are seldom worn (e.g. the fabled gilet and my silk Vince dress) but both have closet longevity and will get more wear as the years go by.
ETA: These are from 2014, 2015, 2016 and I still have them all in rotation except the Sweeties and maybe the other booties need to be retired. Only because worn to death.
