I can't stop thinking about it, might as well DIN. I plan to take one carry-on for both of us. I've included both our outfits here, because we will be such a smashing, matching pair. I never did the matching thing with a romantic partner, but with my son? Ask Hannah Andersson.

Day 1: flight and bumbling through artsy mountain town:
Me: big white linen boho skirt and either the purple or blue top with either the paisley shirt or the birthday sweater (thanks, Mom & Dad!) on top.
Him: Favorite Lands End cargo shorts and a linen shirt. He will hate putting the shirt on, but will do it for my birthday, and then will feel very comfortable in it.

Day 2: 7-8 hours river rafting
Me: swim suit, but because the bottoms slip if I swim hard, board shorts. Patagonia sundress for after. To cover up from sun, either the blue wrap or an old short-sleeved black silk button front shirt that is really too big now.
Him: swim suit & shark tank, easy.  Added: white quick-drying shirt.
Both: "fabulous" (not really; that's ironic) footwear (obsessing over this, sunblock, etc is why I decided to just get packing). Mine are water shoes. His Chucks have been doused with mango lassi  (my fault!) and are getting shabby.

Day 3: the eclipse!
Me: starry tank top, black & midnight blue cotton cardi, either joggers or shorts (have to wash them, eek!), according to weather. I don't have anything like the amazing jewelry some people have mentioned in the eclipse post.
Him: solar system T, repeat shorts from day 1.

What do you think?

ETA: I've added the jacket and sweatshirt in these finds, and a non-cotton, quick-drying shirt for him to wear on the river, thanks to Angie and Elisabeth P.

I've also slipped in some slippers and Body Glide, because I'll be wearing new shoes (in finds), and a pair of shorts for him, so he doesn't only have the ones he leaves the house in & a swimsuit.
