Thank you all.

Mona and Diana :: you raise valuable points in not participating in a certain way when you cannot guarantee time for responding to your commentators, and I'm glad that's the only reason. One more reason to be happy with the appreciation buttons in every post for those time when we can only post-and-run.

lyn67 :: someone's old is someone's new. I agree 100%.

Absolutely, Ornella. I'm glad I posted today

I stopped posting WIWs because I somehow felt like I was over-posting? Maybe?

I just felt like I was annoying, not useful.

AnnieMouse -- I didn't find you annoying...why would you think that? If someone doesn't want to see someone's posts they can block them or only follow the people they are interested in. So please don't self-limit! I really enjoyed seeing your outfits.

I for one love coming here because some of it is "more of the same". That shows me that people are out there living life, doing what I'm doing. We dont have endless closets. We repeat our faves. Some days you get up late, throw on an old standby and it still looks awesome - and that's a personal win in my book. It's fine to have things that are boring to you, but work every time. But, while it's boring, and may be the old standby, maybe someone else needs to see that today.

Some days I need to be reminded that plain slacks with a tailored shirt can be so sharp, and that putting on an unexpected color is OK, and by all means - don't be afraid to wear a possible fail out of the house. In return, someone might need to see that there are 10 different ways to wear that black wrap dress, even though it's boring to me. One of the things I love about here is that unlike pinning outfits on Pinterest...I see real outfits, pass and fail, and hear advice on how to make things I already have more workable.

Ceit, I'm not sure, actually. I just felt like perhaps I was posting too much; I'm probably overthinking it

I am another one feeling that my clothes are just too boring to post. I do feel that I have a good eye for putting outfits together but most days I'm in pants and a top, period (well, undies too! . I only add the shoes, topper, necklace or scarf that actually make an outfit on those rare days that I actually leave the house. I did have plans to post the outfits I wore while visiting New York City earlier this month but I was too busy and kept forgetting to thake outfit pics of myself. Maybe I need to set aside time to recreate and photograph the outfits from the capsule I packed.

Well, this is a timely post, and I recall you saying something similar on my last thread -because I was saying I didn't post outfits that often, because they were boring.

I love that you guys think this way, and are not expecting every member to have huge closets full of incredibly fashionable items.

I'm still not sure you would like to see photos of me in my skinnies, striped tee and black sneakers (or something along these lines) daily though. Even I get bored of my combos lol

You are so sweet Ornella. I wish I could hug you in person!

I agree; one of the reasons I love YLF is that we do get "regular person, regular day" photos, not just some professional fashion blogger who photographs very out there outfits.

This post is so insightful. I know it's difficult for me to post photos, since I don't know much about fashion and style. I usually only post when I have copied something from one of the fabs
Nonetheless, I love seeing every outfit that others post here.

For better or worse, you are about to see all kinds of outfits from me in the no repeat November challenge. Gulp.

Great post, Ornella. Thank you!!!

I agree -- post often. Just for you Ornella I have a picture I did not post yesterday because I thought the outfit was a little hum drum. The sweater is red just for you

@ Anniemouse -- yes you're overthinking it because I LOVE your posts. Your outfits are so inventive and pretty.

Well said, Ornelia. No more apologies, ladies.
