I have a new pair of blue satin wide leg trousers. The silhouette is tricky.
Lately, I have been exploring monochrome dressing and played with the idea of monochrome blue - rather a tonal blue outfit. I also tried a very high contrast outfit.
1 Tonal blue outfit, The scarf is dark navy with a royal blue pattern. Royal blue bag. Black boots. I quite like this outfit, but it would need something lighter or brighter to give it more life. What do you think?
2 Tonal blue with an accent. The same outfit as 1, but I changed the scarf and used a brighter scarf with mainly blue and green pattern. I like this combination better than 1.
3-5 Shades of blue with pink. Here, I tried the trousers with a navy blazer and pink bag together with a blue-green-pink patterned scarf. I like the color combination. But I think the proportions are off. The blazer is perhaps too short or too long with the trousers… I like the trousers better with the longer toppers. What style of a topper would work with this shape of trousers?
6-7 The high contrast outfit. The blue wide legs with a bright yellow coat and various scarves. I am on the fence with this one. While I normally like high contrast outfits, not sure this is not too much.
8 Bonus pic - the yellow coat worn with a blue printed scarf. This might work with the new satin trousers too. I wore this the other day with another pair of dark blue trousers.

What do you think of these combinations? Yay or nay? Comments, ideas and styling advice are much appreciated.
