I have not had a chance to post very much in the last week. But with a great reason. Last weekend, I was able to join my cousin a 2 time breast cancer survivor in the Susan G. Komen 3 Day for a Cure walk in Atlanta. The 3 days were the most physical grueling thing I have ever done, but aside from my daughter's birth, they were also the most emotionally rewarding. I thought I would share a few images from the weekend.
Pic #1 - Our home for the weekend a 6.5 x 6.5 tent.
Pic #2 - This is from the 2nd day of the walk. We had told our husband to have cold diet beverages waiting for us - and they delivered. Those few sips of Diet Coke were the best I have ever had and motivation to push their the miles.
Pic #3 - The hubby took care of our little one all weekend, navigated his way thru the city, and met me at each and every cheering station. There is no way I could have done this without him.
Pic #4 - The reason I walk - so she can grow up in a world free of breast cancer.
Pic #5 - At the end of the walk - we were tired, dirty, smelled bad but were total excited at what we had accomplished.
If you ever have the oppurtunity to particpate in one of these events, I strongly recommend it. It is a true life changing experience. I fully intend to particpate each year going forward....
