I never make the bed either. I'm just lazy but I did read somewhere that it allows the bed to air if you leave it awhile before making it. I'll just stick with not bothering at all and maintain I'm airing it!!!!! x

When I have a post that's going to need scrubbing I put water in the pot or pan and de-glase like making gravy-easy peasy. Just watch out for hot stuff.

I clean my microwave by heating/boiling a 2-cup Pyrex measuring cup full of water (or salt water if you're afraid of explosions) for a few minutes, then letting it sit and steam a few more minutes. Stuck-on food wipes right off.

Girls you are inspiring me to become a domestic goddess!!! (Or maybe its just that I'm feeling a little weird now that I don't have children at home during the day!)

Afterism I went through all our linen too and we now have 2 sets of summer sheets and 2 sets of winter sheets for each of the 3 beds in my house, and the girl have a proper comforter rather than doona in cover too - they would thrash around so much that the doona would sink to the bottom and not keep them warm, so I swapped over and now I'm loving how much quicker it is to wash and remake the beds! Not to mention how great it is to have the bare minimum in my linen cupboard!

Does anyone else actually LIKE ironing? I don't really mind it at all and always do it in front of the TV - I do still hang as much as possible on hangers etc as soon as its out of the washing machine to minimise the wrinkles, but I still have no problems with ironing!

Theresa, I like ironing flat things: napkins, linen pillowcases, things like that. I hate ironing shirts.

But one of my shortcuts is not to fold and put away sheets. I take them off the bed, wash and dry, and put them back on the bed.
