Sona, your in my prayers. I know it's been a challenging year health wise and I am believing for a 2013 of good health and much blessing for you and your family.

Sona, I am just seeing this now and want you to know that you are in my thoughts. Take care.

What a frightening experience, Sona-(((
How are you feeling now? Have you heard back from the doctor yet?

I am sending lots of positive vibes your way. Hang in there beautiful lady!

Brief update: my EEG was abnormal. This means that although by definition I don't have epilepsy ( that needs 2 or more seizures) I need to be on seizure meds for a minimum of 2 years. 3 months driving restrictions- this is the biggest immediate issue- my hubby travels a lot for work and our DD goes to school outside the district so busing is not an option. I normally drop her off and he picks her up. We are trying to arrange a cab service of sorts. I am feeling tired and worn out since the episode so am trying to
take it easy. Hope to plan an outfit for tomorrow- back to work.Your prayers and wishes mean a great deal.Merci mes amis.

Sona, I have been following the thread and hoping for the best for you. Please take care and try not to worry about non-essentials. There is always a work around for the logistics. Your health is what truly matters.

(((hugs)))

Sona, I hope there are no more bumps in the road as far as your health is concerned. It might be difficult, but please don't hesitate to ask your friends for help with your daughter's transportation.

Sona, when I first had my seizures, my work found someone that lived close to me. She picked up me and the kids, we dropped them off at day care, then drove to work. She also took me home and someone else picked up the kids for me. I had to do this for a year. I could not have done it without my work placve and this wonderful lady they found for me. Does your place of business have a message board to post ride sharing info?

Hmmm, this wasn't the result you were hoping for, but at least you are getting some answers and you will be able to make some plans. Deb has some good suggestions. You are in my thoughts - I'd like to give you a big hug! Please try to get lots of rest, and don't be afraid to ask your friends and family for help. You are such a kind and giving person - please let others give to you.

Thanks for the update Sona. I honestly don't know what to say except I am sending all sorts of hugs and prayers to you. This must be scary and frustrating. You and your family will take care of the logistics, just make sure you take good care of yourself.

xoxo
Shannon

I just read this post so I'm sorry it is belated but I have said a prayer for you. As everyone said, please take care of yourself, try to relax and keep positive thoughts. I read a tip a while back that seemed so simple that I didn't think it could work but it does help me. It said that whenever you start worrying about something, to mentally give yourself permission not to worry about it right now and to instead agree with yourself that you will worry about it later instead. You can even set up a time to "worry" if that's what you feel you need to do, but for me I simply agree that I am just not going to worry at the present time about this particular thing (whatever it is).

I know it sounds silly but somtimes I also silently recite a little "don't worry" song to myself like "Don't Worry, Be Happy."

Sona, I just saw this thread. I'm relieved you didn't get a concussion on top of the seizure (small gift, right?) and hope you can get the logistical nightmare sorted out by the time school resumes. 2012 was such a difficult health year for you; I truly hope that 2013 is better. {{{{Hugs}}}}

Sona, ohmigosh! Big HUG!

That happened to my aunt, while driving. Nobody got hurt, but scary! She's ok now and drives again, if that's any encouragement.

You've got my prayers and positive thoughts!

Sona - still feeling concerned on your behalf. I am glad you have a partial answer at least, and hope the driving arrangements will work out for your daughter's school.

Take it easy (well, try!) and take care, Sona. I know you already know this, but the easiest way to drop *anyone's* seizure threshold is to tire them out or stress them out, of course. It isn't easy, I can imagine, with the logistical arrangements and the tests and experiments in medicines (some of those seizure meds take getting used to!). But I do like Texstyle's approach --- sometimes you just have to decide to give yourself a break, for everyone's benefit including your own. The world will just have to whirl along with a little less organization from you

Get well soon!

Sona, I just found this and will pray that this condition and your problems because of it get sorted soon. Please take care of yourself and take each day as it comes.

I'm so sorry to hear you are going through this, Sona. You've really had a very tough year-(((
Please take extra good care of yourself and try to rest as much as possible. I'm holding thumbs that you've found some good arrangements for the driving issue and will be sending lots of positive thoughts your way. Hang in there!

Sona, I just saw this! My goodness, I'm so glad you are okay... you must have been scared to wake up in the hospital like that. I hope things get better for you. *hugs* My sister-in-law has epilepsy, and she lives a very normal life, if that helps any. I hope the medications do their tricks.
