krishnidoux's thread on her mom's COPD was almost eerie (thankfully she is doing better :-), and reading everyone else's comments and hearing so many brushes with this terrible disease, was comforting to me these past days -- as we just lost my dad on Friday and COPD was a significant factor. The bright side was that he was 88 and had lived a good, full life.

I'm trying to catch up a bit on YLF, but am overwhelmed trying to look back and read threads past page 2 or so (how DO people manage it?), so I apologize in advance for missing some great WIWs, questions, etc.

I have a pile of miscellaneous purchases made over this past difficult month and I'll need to start the K/R process on, but I'll whittle it down first - I promise! Funny how I found online shopping to be my distraction of choice :-\ and, yes, dressing nicely for the hospital and hospice made ME feel a little better each day

Anyway, I'm looking forward to calmer days and more YLF regularity. . . and thanks for 'listening'
