please do get in touch, it sounds like you have had a nightmare, I really do hope it all goes ok
thanks

Any news? I hope there's some way you can make it, I know how much you've been looking forward to this.

I hear the air ban is to be lifted tomorrow Fi, I hope you are able to find a way home. I will be thinking of you.

I just heard on our news that they are lifting the ban today... is that right?

I'm certainly hoping so Fi and still keeping everything crossed for you.

I think you'll make it Fi. Some services are gradually being restored already, so certainly by Wednesday things should be up and running.

I heard the same thing. It's not over yet, Fi. I am still holding out hope.

Thank you for you ongoing concern. Unfortunately, even if flights do resume today, it doesn't mean a normal schedule can operate, especially with long haul flights, plus apparently the ash cloud is back this morning.

I might be able to book another flight, but things are not looking good.

I have just been on the phone with Qantas and our flight is still definitely cancelled, next available seat is on the 29th of April. As I have to be back in the UK on the 11th of May, there isn't really much point in going. So we think that we might go back over Christmas, if we can afford it.

Now I just have to think of some special things I can do for my sister.

Sweety, I am so very sorry that this has happened. Stoopid volcano! If you can't go now, I'm sure that Christmas will be even more special. I will still be crossing my fingers for you anyway.

In case you can't get there, is your sister going to organise a backup plan, such as streaming or photos being emailed straightaway so that you can still feel part of the occasion, even if you aren't able to be there in person?

Maybe this is silly, but you could dress yourself up in your wedding outfit and email a photo through to your sister, where you have a very big smile (maybe holding a glass of champagne as a toast) and write an ultra-meaningful message to be read out during the reception (photo could be given to your sister)? Or send through a video message that could be played if there is a video/dvd player?

Oh, Fi. (((HUGS))).

Nice one, KP.
