Ha, April! It's the perfectionism as well as all the glossy representations of what Christmas is supposed to look like. :O

I'll be putting on my sweats and wearing a ponytail tomorrow and Thursday as I head into full house-cleaning and pre-cooking mode. Still, the only thing that's really freaking me out right now are reports of a possible major snowstorm on Christmas Day. That could be interesting...

hhahaha, yeah, I didn't even mention all the hand stamped Christmas cards I have yet to mail. hahahahaaaa. YEAH.

My deepest sympathies to all of you who are still shopping and organising - I was done last week thankfully - I was offered Christmas Eve as the date for my car service and I declined as I didn't want to be anywhere near the shops this week!

BUT, ex-H just sent me an email that could throw the festive season on its head...

A severe weather warning has been issued, and there is a very real chance he wont get home due to already flooded creeks/rivers coping even more rain. Now this isn't a big deal for me (lol!), but the girls will be very unhappy as despite our divorce, we have made a point of spending christmas eve and christmas day together as a family every single year

My only concern, besides unhappy kidlets, is that he bought the big part of their gift and its at his house (a Nintendo Wii), and if the weather does as is expected, I am going to NEED that gift to help keep the girls occupied if the next 5 weeks of hols are spent trapped inside... luckily I still have keys to his house LOL!

Oh, and I've had my furbaby at the vet this morning and he may need surgery on Friday or Wednesday if the meds they've prescribed don't do the job

weather issues are worrying us as well at the moment. we leave tommorrow, there was a major snowstorm at our destination and they are predicting snow all weekend where we live, making travel back after xmas difficult.

Theresa, I have been thinking of you when I have been hearing the flooding reports in the news from your part f the country
