Oh, Janet, big hugs to you and yours. I'd say I was sorry, but how can I be sorry about a family sending off an elderly member in a beautiful and loving way? If only more people could swim and eat all their favorite foods and be surrounded by cuddles right up to the end.

It must be terrible to have the stress of the storm on top of it all, and I hope the clean up is sorted quickly so that everyone can relax and mourn. Give little Sophie an extra hug from me. XOXO

I'm so sorry about Rocky. Thank you for sharing the wonderful pictures of your sweet boy. Lots of hugs. Losing a pet is so hard! I'm glad he was surrounded by family and lots of love in his final days.

So sweet that your family could have those special moments with Rocky despite what was going on outside your home. Luv those pics of your furry boy. Big hugs and thank you for sharing during this sad time.

Lovely photos of Rocky and so said to hear that he has left you. Hope you're coping with his loss and the storm damage.

I'm so very sorry to hear this, Janet, but I hope you find comfort in knowing his last hours of pain were brief and the hours before that as loving and comforting as you could make them. An extra hug for Sophie and her other friend --- they must be confused to not have Rocky there still

Nice of the storm to helpfully give you *something to do* in your hour of grief; but don't let it take too much of your energy and time. :-/ On a serious note, glad there wasn't any major damage, and most importantly, no one got hurt. The story of the adirondack chair is frightening!

Janet -
I'm sure he couldn't have been any more loved. Those pictures are beautiful.
I hope you get some calmer days now to grieve your loss and recover from the storm-

I'm so terribly sorry to hear this news Janet. What a beautiful boy he was. Take care. x

Oh Janet I'm so sorry (I have tears streaming down my face for you) I'm glad you could be with him at the end x

What a difficult and sad weekend-(( I am so sorry for your loss, Janet, but glad to read you were all there to cuddle Rocky. Your handsome boy will always we with you, in your hearts and memories. *big hugs*

Oh Janet, I'm so story to hear about Rocky. I'm sending you a million hugs.

Janet, I am so very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. So happy that none of you were hurt in the storm. Big hugs for you all.

Oh Janet, *Huggs* I'm so sorry =(

I'm so sorry to hear about that. He was lucky to have such a loving home. Glad you were able to be with him at the end. Sending hugs and comfort your way.

Janet, I'm so sorry. Thank you for sharing photos with us. What a handsome, dignified dog. My thoughts are with you.

I can only say that I am so sorry for your loss concerning your dear Rocky. I can't even stand to think of my Reilly leaving me. I am very happy that you have other wonderful dogs to help you through the grieving process. ((Hugs to you)).

I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Rocky. Pets bring us so much love, fun and happiness. My life definitely changed for the better when I adopted my first cat, Percy, from an animal shelter. I had always grown up with dogs and loved them dearly. I didn't know how I would fare with a cat but he has completely taken over my life (with my permission!!)

Janet, I am so sorry for your Rocky! Big hugs to you and all your family. I am sure Rocky felt your love until his last moment. Thank you for sharing his pictures, he was such a beautiful boy!
This is really scary about this storm, I am happy all of you were not injured in it.

Rocky was a beautiful dog with such piercing blue, soulful eyes. I'm sorry his time came during a difficult period, although there is never a good time to lose a dog. I hope you are doing OK.

Feeling pangs of sadness over the loss of your loyal, loving pooch. It's only been in the past few years, since I'm not a dog owner, that it's really hit me how much unconditional love and devotion our dogs offer us, and how devastating it is to lose them. Rocky gave you so much, but he also loved being loved, played with, fed, petted, walked and taken care of by you. He's now out of pain and romping around with the whole crew of YLF all-star pets...and watching over you like Sirius, the Dog Star in the sky!

My deepest sympathies, Janet. It's so hard to lose a beloved pet.

Peace of heaven and earth be with Rocky.

I hope you all get a bit of break!

Janet, I'm sorry you've had such a rough week/weekend! The storm would be bad enough, but losing your sweet dog, is so sad!! Pets are just part of the family and it's hard to imagine seeing one go. My prayers will be with you and your family.

I've followed your both threads with great sadness. Rocky was beautiful, his eyes in photo 2 are so captivating. Every loss has to be mourned, but I hope the time when your sadness will pass is not to far away as you have so many beautiful memories to think about instead.

Im so sorry your time with him is over.... it is the hardest, yet the kindest thing to do when it's time. He was much-loved, and knew it,Im sure....and will live in your memories forever. You WILL see him again someday, when he finds you at The Bridge

I am so sorry to hear about Rocky, Janet. Sending you and your family lots of hugs.
