You look gorgeous. If you foot is still that swollen, it's got to be a break - I am glad you're going to get an x-ray!

Woe is Mo! OMG, Girl!

I have been waiting to read of your race and your fun trip to NOLA--and this is just terrible news! Wishing you the best prognosis and speedy recovery. *hugs*

You both look lovely but there's def something terrible with that ankle--that's gotta hurt!!

Yeeeeowww! *Faint*... *thud*

I seriously hope you're on your way to the doctor for an x-ray, Mo! That needs to be taken care of ... you're a runner! Just Do It.

{{hug}}

Sorry to hear you injured yourself. Maybe you can work on elevating sleep and loungewear to new fashionable heights!

Holy moly! I read "twisted ankle" and thought "Oh, big deal, just walk it off...you'll be better in a week." Then I saw the photo. That doesn't look like any sprained ankle I've ever seen before! It looks very painful. I'm so sorry this happened to you! Load up on movies, try to enjoy your time in comfy clothes as much as possible, and get better soon!

Mo, that ankle looks awful! I hope doctor can sort it out for you. Please take care of yourself (((hugs)))!

Aw you looked so stunning but wowzers that ankle looks pretty huge! ekkkk! you poor poor thing
*hugs*....
Ok... now you have to practise lots of swoons and damsel in distress poses so you get carried everywhere. Crutching gets tiring
I've been told our figures are really similar so you have to get your poor leg better so I can stalk *ahem* I mean follow your ideas lol! xx

After seeing the photo I'm so glad you are seeing the doctor Mo.

Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! I got faint just looking at the photos. So glad that you are getting it looked at - that was some nasty fall!
Congratulations on finishing the race and with a great time also! What an accomplishment! Doesn't it just feel empowering to do something like that? Way to go!

so, I see you're here.. what did the doctor say?

Oh, sorry! I got an xray and I have a severe sprain but no break!! yay! I can expect it stay swollen a lot longer than the usual 2 to 4 days so it's Rest Ice Compression and Elevation still. I'm on day 3 now and I'm getting some fabulous colors all over in addition to a Flintstone sized foot But I'm happy to know I don't have a fracture.

that is such good news! take care and rest up

I'm glad it's not broken Mo, I thought for sure after seeing the photo that it would be! Hope the swelling dies down soon. Congratulations on the race though, and your Valentine's dinner looked lovely Get some quality resting in and feel better soon!

So sorry about your injury, just take good care so you will heal fast!

Oh no! I hope you feel better soon!!

Egads, what rotten luck! Glad to hear it's not broken, at least. Do you have some good DVDs (say, several seasons of a tv show) that you've been dying to watch :)?

Congrats on finishing your race! Sorry to hear about your fall but happy it is not a fracture. Much faster recovery. The more ice, rest, elevation you do, the faster, and nicer this will recover. *sending well wishes*

Ouchy ouch Mo. You poor thing. I'm glad that you've had it x-rayed and that as a minimum nothing is broken/torn. You look so beautiful in your first photo and it is such a shame to see how much discomfort you must be in with the second.

I wanted to add that when a member of my family comes home after injuring himself (three boys and a clutsy husband means this is a common occurence in my household), I always will ask in the first instance: "Did you at least make it look impressive?" [ie: how and where you hurt yourself] I figure if you are going to be in serious pain, you want a dramatic story to go along with it to tell the grandkids one day!

On this basis and using the Katiepea "Official Scale of Injury Rankings" (aka OSIR) for all injuries incurred via unfortunate accidents, I am awarding this injury a *sustained in specatuclar fashion* ranking (one of my highest). I additionally award you a 10/10 for effort and effect! Just don't do it again. Only one 10/10 is permitted in a lifetime!

On a more serious note, I really do hope that the swelling and bruising subsides quickly and you are up and about sooner than you think. Take care.
