On the fence NAS return

Today I pick up my NAS alterations. It is an opportunity (but not the only chance) to return the items that came via mail.

I'm on the fence with this nic&zoe top and sweater. I love the top, but it is somewhat muted and goes with nothing in my closet except black and charcoal. The sweater is aline and should be a good fit for my shape, but i'm not feeling too hip (i'm 44).

If I can do better, tell me to take it back. If I need to keep trying, styling help is needed.

Wearing this with Nydj ponte straight legs and AGL flats.

The blue blouse looks fabulous with the black trousers. I vote keep that item.

I like the top! I think that's the same one I bought in red.

The sweater is a lovely color but seems long on you. If you don't feel fab in it, I vote return.

Thanks ladies! The sweater is in the return bag. I tried the top under a fitted short black jacket and that is more of the look I like.

@janet-yes! This is the one!
@freckles-most of my skirts and pants are grey, denim or black. I'm picking up my first dark navy skirt today.

Well then the top going with nothing in your closet except black and charcoal shouldn't be a problem for this top. I'd try it with the navy and denim too. You never know...

I agree with everyone: Keep the top, ditch the sweater! That color would look lovely with brown, white, olive green, khaki, light gray, red if you are feeling bold...It's really versatile!

Top looks great on you. I don't mind the sweater, particularly belted however it's not "special" so I agree return it.

I thinking that top will be very versatile. I've already worn mine (in the sweltering heat) with a dark grayish-brown skirt and red wedge sandals, but I think its going to be great for layering in the cooler months too! Glad you're keeping it.

I returned the Zic and Zoe sweater and bought the Bobeau tab sleeve cardigan in a deep aubergine color. The new sweater is longer and more streamlined to wear over leggings (and for $60 less.)

@reneeb-the top came in petite with a 1" shorter hem than the regular misses size. Online it appears sold out in petite in every color except black. I typically wear petite tops, but this one fit fine in a regular small. Do you love your AGL's? They are the most comfy flats I own. I'm always on the lookout for a sale!
