I was in New York for a couple of days and I am pleased to report that I saw many cropped trench coats. Once I got on the elevator with two older teens wearing matching beige cropped trenches.
I arrived at the tail end of the heat wave and then it was cool and drizzly for the rest of my stay. My Lole raincoat was perfect and so were the two pairs of sneakers that I brought. I often feel when i travel that I brought the wrong thing, or something turns out to be too hot or not warm enough. A woman at the Frick complimented me on the outfit below, and I was very flattered.
I didn't buy a thing except for a couple of bookmarks at the Frick. I looked at a bag at COS that I had admired online, but the strap was not long enough to wear crossbody, so I passed.
I thought you would also enjoy seeing the outer scaffolding of the new Louis Vuitton building. Look at all the detail that went into this structure that is covering the actual construction! And a few random pics of Manhattan and Queens life.
